DO YOU UNDERSTAND YOUR IMPORTANT ROLE, CHURCH?

These are the names of the sons of Israel who came to Egypt with Jacob, each with his household: Issachar, Zebulun, and Benjamin, Dan and Naphtali, Gad and Asher. All the descendants of Jacob were seventy persons; Joseph was already in Egypt. Then Joseph died, and all his brothers and all that generation. But the people of Israel were fruitful and increased greatly; they multiplied and grew exceedingly strong, so that the land was filled with them. Now there arose a new king over Egypt, who did not know Joseph. And he said to his people, “Behold, the people of Israel are too many and too mighty for us. Come, let us deal shrewdly with them, lest they multiply, and, if war breaks out, they join our enemies and fight against us and escape from the land.” Therefore they set taskmasters over them to afflict them with heavy burdens. They built for Pharaoh store cities, Pithom and Raamses. But the more they were oppressed, the more they multiplied and the more they spread abroad. And the Egyptians were in dread of the people of Israel. So they ruthlessly made the people of Israel work as slaves and made their lives bitter with hard service, in mortar and brick, and in all kinds of work in the field. In all their work they ruthlessly made them work as slaves. Then the king of Egypt said to the Hebrew midwives, one of whom was named Shiphrah and the other Puah, “When you serve as midwife to the Hebrew women and see them on the birthstool, if it is a son, you shall kill him, but if it is a daughter, she shall live.” But the midwives feared God and did not do as the king of Egypt commanded them, but let the male children live. So the king of Egypt called the midwives and said to them, “Why have you done this, and let the male children live?” The midwives said to Pharaoh, “Because the Hebrew women are not like the Egyptian women, for they are vigorous and give birth before the midwife comes to them.” So God dealt well with the midwives. And the people multiplied and grew very strong. And because the midwives feared God, he gave them families. Then Pharaoh commanded all his people, “Every son that is born to the Hebrews you shall cast into the Nile, but you shall let every daughter live.” Exodus 1:1-22

And so the children of God have continued to multiply. Yet now, these are counted as the ones who have come in to the fold of the Good Shepherd.
We have been given power in the Holy Spirit and we have been added to the registry of Heaven as the children of God. (Hebrews 12:22-23 and Revelation 21:27).

Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you. Nevertheless, do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”
Luke 10:19‭-‬20

The children of God are all those who come to believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God, the Light of the world.

The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not know him. He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him. But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
John 1:9‭-‬14

Well today Egypt is the world. The world is those who do not know the Lord. Those who reject the Lord. The system of this world who is contary, that is against the Word of God – This is Egypt.

Today those of us who have believed in Jesus and have been Borm Again, we are called ” The Children of God.

They system of this world has thought just as the Egyptian people of the book of Exodus. They have seen the church of Jesus as a threat. We are the ones who stand for what is right. The Standard for us is not the norms of this world. For us our standard is the mighty Word of God. For centuries rulers and people have tried to destroy God’s word. It is the only book that has stood the test of time.
We are the children of the Most High God.
We stand for truth. We stand as a Witness to the enemies of God, that they have no excuse.

We stand for the unborn children in the womb. We stand for the family as a unit God has instituted. We stand for the fact that God created Adam and Eve. The homes designed by God are between and manand a woman. We stand as a reminder to Egyot that our God is real. He is Almighty. There is not a thing that can sway a true Believer.
We stand for the freedoms of all people of every tribe and every nation. We stand as a reminder that no one should be oppressed since God created just one Human Race. Out ethnicities cannot undo the divine purpose of God for the earth to be filled with human beings. Satan has tried to destroy the human family for thousands of years and failed. God is still God.
Yet today we see that scripture tells us, we have power. We have the authority of Christ.
We have a standing audience with the King of kings and Lord of lords.

He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” And Jesus answered him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven. And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”
Matthew 16:15‭-‬19

We are the voice of God in this godless generation. We are the ones who point to the Manger in Bethlehem, the Cross in Golgotha and the Empty Tomb, which announces that Jesus has power over the Grave and over death.

We are the ones not afraid of those who can kill the body. For we are those who have been Redeemed by the Blood of Jesus, the Lamb of God.

We are in this world but clearly not of it. (John 17:16)

“If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Remember the word that I said to you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they kept my word, they will also keep yours. But all these things they will do to you on account of my name, because they do not know him who sent me. If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have been guilty of sin, but now they have no excuse for their sin.
John 15:18‭-‬22

They will come against the church of Chrost with all malice and claiming we are backward thinkers, antiquated and closed minded. They will speak all manner of evil against us.

But again I remind you, they are without excuse before God.
So let’s see what scripture keeps telling us,

Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
James 1:2‭-‬4

“Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
Matthew 5:11‭-‬12

We are in good company. We are not greater than our Lord Jesus and they rejected him and hung him on a tree.
So, we too must siffer for his namesake. We will be rejected and put down. We will be accused of hating others because we stand against their sin.
But we are in good company.

So? What now?

Shine brighter Church. Be that Beacon of Life. Be that witness that causes the lost to find rest in the Master’s arms. Go ahead be bold and courageous. Do not back down.
Follow the examples of Daniel. He prayed 3 times a day. He trusted God. He was delivered from the lions in the Lions den.
Be like Shadrach, Meshac and Abednego… they saw the fourth Man in the fiery furnace. Be like the disciples, so many doed as Martyrs for the faith.
But they had one thing in common; they believed God.
They were willing to go to the end Believing and trusting His faithfulness.

Greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world. (1 John 4:4)

Oh, come on Church!!!

For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ,
2 Corinthians 10:3‭-‬5

Put on the armour of God and come on, Let’s come continue to fight the good fight.

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints,
Ephesians 6:10‭-‬18

Come on let’s be steadfast in Prayer and in Preaching the Truth of God’s Word.

And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.
Galatians 6:9‭-‬10

preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths. As for you, always be sober-minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.
2 Timothy 4:2‭-‬5

Preach and know some will be saved. Others will have no excuse. But Church Be the Church.

Our Intercession moves the hand of God. He desires that none should perish.
For he gave us His son Jesus. He wants to save souls, so He has called us to be Fruitful and multiply. Sheep giving birth to sheep.
Believers reaching others to come to the knowledge of Christ.

This is our Highest Purpose and our Most Powerful Place.

Let’s be the Light that shines in the darkness.
Let’s be the Salt of the Earth that preserves souls for Christ.
Stand and be counted.
You are the Church. You are the chosen.

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. Once you were not a people, but now you are God’s people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy. Beloved, I urge you as sojourners and exiles to abstain from the passions of the flesh, which wage war against your soul. Keep your conduct among the Gentiles honorable, so that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day of visitation.
1 Peter 2:9‭-‬12
