Change my heart oh God, make it ever new..
Change my heart oh God, Let me be like you…
So, go the lyrics of one of my favorite songs.
Then inspired by scripture, possibly Jeremiah 18, the song continues;
You are the Potter
I am the clay.
Mold me and make me
This is what I pray.
I recall what the Psalmist wrote in Psalm 51:10
Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.

Scripture transforms how we think. It causes us to reflect on the mercy of God.
Every day is given to us new mercies, sufficient for that day. Mercy that enables us to live lives that bring honor to Christ.
Though the world pulls us with it’s normal and styles, music and media. Though the things this world entice us to participate in things that cause us to move away from the things that are pleasing to God. God’s word keeps us on track.
It refocuses our understanding. It helps us walk as children of God.
It is a Manual For Life.
Yes, the world may say there is no Standard, Be all you can be. Do it your way. But the wrong path can lead us astray.
There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death.
Proverbs 14:12
We are are to be what we were designed to be.
THE LORD CREATED YOU AND ME WITH A PURPOSE SND HIS PLAN.
Jeremiah 29:11 says,
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Jeremiah 29:11
God’s word is truly a Guide Book. It can cause us to be wise, to live a productive life that honors the Lord.

Romans 12.
I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned. For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness. Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord. Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality. Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them. Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight. Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all. If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all. Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” To the contrary, “if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.” Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
Romans 12:1-21
Did you read it….
It tells us that we are part of One Same Body. We are the Body of Christ. We are not Alone. For many this is such an important truth to hear. The world is full of Lonely People who lack hope.
God’s word offers hope and that sense of Belonging.
The word tells us to love one another, to serve one another. You gfts and abilities can be an encouragement to others. Mine can bless others too. We can help each other to grow in this Faith Walk.
We can celebrate together those moments of life that are good. And we are taught in God’s word to weep, to console, to be there for those who are suffering.
God’s word teaches how to love. It enables us to stand firm and not give up in hard days. We are to stand firm and have patience in trials.
It teaches us we are all cut from the same cloth, as it were, we ought not to be prideful. Because every ability we have was given to us by God. So, we are to be Interconnected, Humble, seeking to do good even to those who mistreat us. We are to love and forgive one another.
Do you see it? God’s Word is the true Life Manuel. It is ‘The How To Book For Life.’
It is our prvilege and our greatest Treasure.
We can learn from it to assess ourselves. To look at how far we have come in our Faith. We can also see how far we still have to go in the Faith Walk.
Daily, when I look at the Word of God. I see something new. An area need to grow in. An area I have crossed in to. An area I need to still work more on.
Sometimes it shows me the error of my way of thinking and how wrong I am. It straightens my false ideas and corrects me, in love.
It leads me to the knowledge of the God who gave himself an offering and a sacrifice for me.it shows me the love of The Father sending His Son Jesus to die on a Cross for our sins. To bring us Salvation and the opportunity to be made right with God.
God loves us so much that he caused Jesus to rise from the dead by His Spirit so you and I do not have to be punished for our sins. We can be forgiven and made a new. He is the Potter. He can create in you and me a New Heart. He can restore our lives.
God’s word is that Manual…
All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,
2 Timothy 3:16

It is my go to, when I am heartbroken too.
At times, depending on my situation, I find in the pages of God’s word, hope and consolation. I find the anchor that keeps me, even in the midst of life’s storms. I also find Joy and gladness to know, I am thoroughly and completely loved.
the Lord appeared to him from far away. I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you.

But now thus says the Lord, …. “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine.

God’s purpose for our lives clearly understood in scripture. His word is the Truth that Guides our path back to the Father.
It gives us direction and the purpose the Lord has for our lives.
The Word of God is that Instruction Book that helps us navigate through life.

It is also the light that guides our way. Psalm 119:105 says it like this…
Thy word is the lamp until my feet and the light unto my path.
So, my Hope and Prayer is that these words I have written inspire you to shine your light for others to see the Love of Jesus in you and me.
In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
Matthew 5:16
