Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
It’s amazing how in one same church there can be two types of folks. Those that seek and those that just come in and do. Those that perform tasks and those that are the church. Those that live godly lives being true witnesses of Christ in the world and those that just perform acts of supposed kindness. They appear to be brethren but are not truly so.
But we can rest assured. The bible says in Galatians 6,
Do not be deceived and deluded and misled; God will not allow Himself to be sneered at (scorned, disdained, or mocked by mere pretensions or professions, or by His precepts being set aside.) [He inevitably deludes himself who attempts to delude God.] For whatever a man sows, that and that only is what he will reap. For he who sows to his own flesh (lower nature, sensuality) will from the flesh reap decay and ruin and destruction, but he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. And let us not lose heart and grow weary and faint in acting nobly and doing right, for in due time and at the appointed season we shall reap, if we do not loosen and relax our courage and faint. So, let us be the wheat. Forget about the tares. Be the ones who not only act like a Christian in church and forget to elsewhere, but rather let us be transparent. Let us be the same person in and out of church. Let us be transformed by the renewing of our minds. We cannot become a car simply by standing in a garage.
Ephesians 4, states, Strip yourselves of your former nature [put off and discard your old unrenewed self] which characterized your previous manner of life and becomes corrupt through lusts and desires that spring from delusion; And be constantly renewed in the spirit of your mind [having a fresh mental and spiritual attitude], And put on the new nature (the regenerate self) created in God’s image, [Godlike] in true righteousness and holiness. Therefore, rejecting all falsity and being done now with it, let everyone express the truth with his neighbor, for we are all parts of one body and members one of another. [Zech. 8:16.]
AMPC and we read in Romans 12:2
Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you]. scripture tells us in Psalm 37 That we ought to not fret ourselves because of evil doers.
There will always be those that seem to appear as if though they mock God’s word. They play the church card. They perform but they are not of the fold.
The thing to note is, that the church is a hospital. We have people who are truly sick and seek the healing of their souls and then there aren’t those that are arenrettrntion seekers. It’s okay. Don’t sweat this. God is not fooled. Our hope is to have the Lord draw them to himslef. He can turn the tares in to wheat. He can change the hardest heart. He can cause that word that has been heard for decades to finally penetrate and not return void. It is His church.
He Chile of the vile and weak things so this life…
He decided to redeem what for man seemed unredeemable. He is the Lord. He is sovereign.
And what if they never truly convert. Well that is up to God. He is also a rewarded of those that diligently seek Him. He is the author and Finisher of our faith.
He is also the Judge and the one who one day will draw the line.
Just focus on being the church. Focus on growing in faith. Repent often, seek often, confess your sins and the Lord is more than able to change and mold us into His image. God is in control. The seems will fail. The thread undone and the cloth tossed away if God sees there is falsehood.
But He is the great sower. The enemy may sow tares among the wheat. But the day of the final harvest will come. CHRIST knows His own.
Our role is to love, preach the gospel to the whosoever. By their fruits we shall know them. The Lord is still on the throne. He has the power to still transform and save. And if they do not come in, nor surrender, He is the one who has the last word. The world is to know us by our great love one for another. The world is to see us being the salt of the earth. We are to pray for our enemies and let God be the one who decides their fate. God is God. He makes the sun to rise on the good and on the wicked. He is in control. He uses all things to the benefit of His church. He may use iron to sharpen iron. He may use that person to draw us to a place of constant prayer or to compassion. He knows what He is doing. He is the Potter, He knows what will shape His clay.
Just Be Good Wheat. Be good soil, so the seeds of truth Can grow well.
Let the church be the church!
