Come Back Home
Isaiah 30
1 Woe to the rebellious children, saith the Lord, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin: 2 That walk to go down into Egypt, and have not asked at my mouth; to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to trust in the shadow of Egypt! 3 Therefore shall the strength of Pharaoh be your shame, and the trust in the shadow of Egypt your confusion.
Jeremiah 3
12 Go and proclaim these words toward the north, and say, Return, thou backsliding Israel, saith the Lord; and I will not cause mine anger to fall upon you: for I am merciful, saith the Lord, and I will not keep anger for ever. 13 Only acknowledge thine iniquity, that thou hast transgressed against the Lord thy God, and hast scattered thy ways to the strangers under every green tree, and ye have not obeyed my voice, saith the Lord. 14 Turn, O backsliding children, saith the Lord; for I am married unto you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion: 15 And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.
Oh come back my child from your wandering.
Oh return to me and be satisfied.
You have gone the way of Cain.
You have squandered your blessing and have been left empty.
You have thought in your haert that a good time would be lasting. But now you have been abandoned and are left begging.
Oh return and I will wash you once again.
I will cleanse your soul of the stains of your sin.
I will draw you nigh unto me and you will find peace.
You are running and no one is after you. You are afraid and cannot rest your head.
You have tried to be independent and thought it would go well. But now you have seen the way of the wicked. They promise friendship and wealth. They have made you barren and made you to live in poverty.
Remember where you have come from. Remember that you were selected from the womb. Remamaber that I am your Father and our Maker. I am married to the backslider.
I am the groom that waits for his bride.
But come, return and make your garments white.
Let me restore your joy, your strength and your hope. I will give you new dreams. I will give you my vision for your future.
You will not ever thirst again.
For I have redeemed you and paid a high price for your freedom. I have released my peace that it may be yours for the taking.
But come, oh my child return to me. And I will satisfy your heart with good things. I will renew your mind and grant you the joy of My salvation.
Then I will seat you at my table and you shall dine with me.
Come I am still here calling you home.
