Psalm 90
1 Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations.
12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
14 O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days. 15 Make us glad according to the days wherein thou hast afflicted us, and the years wherein we have seen evil. 16 Let thy work appear unto thy servants, and thy glory unto their children. 17 And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.
The bible tells us to be grateful. The bible tells us to remember those who have served and to honor them. We have become so enamored with entertainment that we often forget to recognize those who deserve our praise. We have become so busy in doing for the Lord that we forget to stop and consider those who consistently serve. We have become people who only move forward and never look back.
I want to look back. I want to look at those who through their love, concern, efforts and gifts of their time, enwrgy, counsel and listening, have touched and blessed my life. Let’s look back and be grateful for those the Lord has used to bless us.
Let us speak of the works the Lord has done through those who he has used to touch lives.
