Help Us To Walk in the Spirit

Help us Be Those who Live Out This Faith and Please You Lord

For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
Romans 8:6

For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
Romans 8:3‭-‬8

For those who may fall in to this it can become a stronghold. It can damage relatiojnships in the future. It also, means there is a preocupación with the self.

Its one thing to focus on a life career and to set personal goals. As Christians we must seek to ask the Lord what His will is for us.
But there is a philosophy brewing about self gratification and self perspective that is evil.

Our opinions of ourselves whether good or bad must not be centered in the self.
We ought to be more concerned with what the Lord has designed us for. Our talents and abilities come from him. Our capacity to think reason and act are his.

When the Lord called Moses to go to be the deliverer for his people. Moses resisted. He felt inadequate. He felt afraid. He even stated, that he was unable to speak.
God’s response was clear.

And the LORD said to him, “Who gave man his mouth? Or who makes the mute or the deaf, the sighted or the blind? Is it not I, the LORD?
Now go! I will help you as you speak, and I will teach you what to say.”
Exodus 4:11-12

The truth is that what I feed the most will conquer my attention, time and effort.
But when I pray and seek the Lord’s direction, where I am lacking He will by his Holy Spirit help me to know what I must do.

So, the most important thing is to discuss things that edify and lead folks to think on the Lord.
Not every topic is going to edify. Psychology often has us going in circles discussing things that will tear a person down and keep them weak. Remembering the past over and over.
To reframe a mind we must be in Christ. To establish a new direction we must be born again.
This means we need Jesus. Self actualization is not truly when a person finds their niche. Finding one’s true purpose comes when a person comes to Christ and acknowledges thei sin. Repentance causes us to draw to God and seek his forgiveness.
Then he gives us newness of life.

And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh: Ezekiel 11:19

Wherefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature: the old things are passed away; behold, they are become new.
2 Corinthians 5:17

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but think of yourself with sober judgment, according to the measure of faith God has given you.
Romans 12:2 -3

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.
Philippians 4:8

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
I John 1:9

Set your minds on the things above, not the things on the earth. Colossians 3:2
