To my own children and to every child of God and their children.
My Children, let me say this again. Let it bless you and be what stands forever for your lives.
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?
Jeremiah 7:9
Fine speech is not becoming to a fool; still less is false speech to a prince. A rebuke goes deeper into a man of understanding than a hundred blows into a fool. An evil man seeks only rebellion, and a cruel messenger will be sent against him. The beginning of strife is like letting out water, so quit before the quarrel breaks out. He who justifies the wicked and he who condemns the righteous are both alike an abomination to the Lord. Why should a fool have money in his hand to buy wisdom when he has no sense? The discerning sets his face toward wisdom, but the eyes of a fool are on the ends of the earth. A foolish son is a grief to his father and bitterness to her who bore him. Whoever restrains his words has knowledge, and he who has a cool spirit is a man of understanding. Even a fool who keeps silent is considered wise; when he closes his lips, he is deemed intelligent.
Proverbs 17:7, 10-11, 14-16, 24-25, 27-28
Do not reprove a scoffer, or he will hate you; reprove a wise man, and he will love you. Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be still wiser; teach a righteous man, and he will increase in learning. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight. For by me your days will be multiplied, and years will be added to your life.
Proverbs 9:8-11
The young will often quarrel. The fool will often not back down. The wise observe and learn and listen and wait and grow and change.
Listen my daughter, listen my son, the Lord will be with you. If you put him first in your life he will guide you.
He has preordained the steps you would walk in.
Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness. Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act. He will bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday. Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices! Refrain from anger, and forsake wrath! Fret not yourself; it tends only to evil. For the evildoers shall be cut off, but those who wait for the Lord shall inherit the land. The Lord knows the days of the blameless, and their heritage will remain forever; they are not put to shame in evil times; in the days of famine they have abundance. The steps of a man are established by the Lord, when he delights in his way; though he fall, he shall not be cast headlong, for the Lord upholds his hand. I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken or his children begging for bread. Turn away from evil and do good; so shall you dwell forever. For the Lord loves justice; he will not forsake his saints. They are preserved forever, but the children of the wicked shall be cut off. The mouth of the righteous utters wisdom, and his tongue speaks justice. The law of his God is in his heart; his steps do not slip. Wait for the Lord and keep his way, and he will exalt you to inherit the land; you will look on when the wicked are cut off. Mark the blameless and behold the upright, for there is a future for the man of peace. The salvation of the righteous is from the Lord; he is their stronghold in the time of trouble. The Lord helps them and delivers them; he delivers them from the wicked and saves them, because they take refuge in him.
Psalm 37:3-9, 18-19, 23-25, 27-28, 30-31, 34, 37, 39-40
Seek first to do the will of God. Seek his guiding and his leading. What awaits the fool is misery for to follow your carnal heart my child will lead you astray.
But seeking the Lord and His wisdom will bring contentment. For your heart will be made right with him.
If you choose to walk in the path He leads you on, it will be well with your soul.
Read for yourself my daughters. Read for yourself my sons.
The Word of God is clearer than you think.
The consequences for following him and seeking his will lead you to blessing and to pleasing him.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction. Hear, my son, your father’s instruction, and forsake not your mother’s teaching, If you turn at my reproof, behold, I will pour out my spirit to you; I will make my words known to you. Because I have called and you refused to listen, have stretched out my hand and no one has heeded, because you have ignored all my counsel and would have none of my reproof, I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when terror strikes you, when terror strikes you like a storm and your calamity comes like a whirlwind, when distress and anguish come upon you. Then they will call upon me, but I will not answer; they will seek me diligently but will not find me. Because they hated knowledge and did not choose the fear of the Lord, would have none of my counsel and despised all my reproof, therefore they shall eat the fruit of their way, and have their fill of their own devices. For the simple are killed by their turning away, and the complacency of fools destroys them; but whoever listens to me will dwell secure and will be at ease, without dread of disaster.”
Proverbs 1:7-8, 23-33
The blessing that comes from seeking God’s will far outweighs the peril that comes from ignoring his way.
The blessings will be so great when you choose to follow The Lord. He will make his face to shine on you and pour out his goodness for you.
“And if you faithfully obey the voice of the Lord your God, being careful to do all his commandments that I command you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, if you obey the voice of the Lord your God. Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the field. Blessed shall be the fruit of your womb and the fruit of your ground and the fruit of your cattle, the increase of your herds and the young of your flock. Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl. Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out. “The Lord will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before you. They shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways. The Lord will command the blessing on you in your barns and in all that you undertake. And he will bless you in the land that the Lord your God is giving you. The Lord will establish you as a people holy to himself, as he has sworn to you, if you keep the commandments of the Lord your God and walk in his ways. And all the peoples of the earth shall see that you are called by the name of the Lord, and they shall be afraid of you. And the Lord will make you abound in prosperity, in the fruit of your womb and in the fruit of your livestock and in the fruit of your ground, within the land that the Lord swore to your fathers to give you. The Lord will open to you his good treasury, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season and to bless all the work of your hands. And you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow. And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail, and you shall only go up and not down, if you obey the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, being careful to do them, and if you do not turn aside from any of the words that I command you today, to the right hand or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.
Deuteronomy 28:1-14
These are the benefits of seeking the Lord and good counsel.
The Opposite is true for denying his path.
Today is the day when life and death stand before you.
My prayers will the Lord hear regarding you. For my heart has been inclined to please the Lord. My soul has prayed from the onset of your days.
Since, before you were in the womb, have I prayed for you.
You were so desired. A blessing and a gift from God you are.
So, I have prayed that you would not stray from the path of the Lord. I have prayed that He would fulfill his call on your life. That as you follow him, the Lord would instruct you and cause you to understand his will for your life. You were born with a God given purpose.
As you lay in my arms, I prayed for the person you would one day marry. I have prayed that they would be in line with God’s will for your life. I have prayed that the Lord would keep away all those who would hinder His purpose for you.
I have prayed He would keep evil from you and that if, you would fall, that his arm would be ready to secure you and lift you up.
My prayer for you has been not for a short while, but from the moment I knew you were placed in my care.
I have prayed that my shortcomings would not be an impediment to your spiritual growth.
I have prayed that when you would falter, the Lord would order your steps back to the way.
Your life has been designed by God from the beginning.
I have seen how the Lord has been ever present in your life.
Read it for yourself my child.
Own it and understand it for yourself.
For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them. How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them! If I would count them, they are more than the sand. I awake, and I am still with you.
Psalm 139:13-18
Your choice is clear. Choose the Lord and you will walk in the path that brings you joy and hope and peace and a future that is blessed regardless of the afflictions that are part of our human existence.
Walk away from the Lord and your path will lead you to despair and need and anguish and dissatisfaction and discontenment.
In His Word he puts it plainly,
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.
Jeremiah 29:11-13
Let your heart be inclined to the Lord. Let your ears hear his word and be wise to apply it to your own life.
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
Ephesians 2:10
I know, O Lord, that the way of man is not in himself, that it is not in man who walks to direct his steps. Jeremiah 10:23
You can trust the Lord to guide you all the days of your life, when you seek him.
Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
Matthew 6:31-33
