Our Inheritance is to Share

The Legacy we have inherited.
The greatest treasure we can have. The most valuable of gifts we can have in the midst of our lives is Jesus.

Throughout our childhood we heard the gospel. We sang the gospel. The story of The Babe in the Manger and the Man on the Cross was not complete until we spoke of that Empty Tomb.

No, our parents were no perfect.
No, they did not do everything well.
Yes, they made mistakes and failed at some things in life.
It was not a bliss and a life of total peace. We had our ups and downs.
We had days of plenty and hard days too.
But the Lord was faithful.
Our parents did everything in their power to make sure of one thing.
That most important thing, was their main obejective in life. It was to Give us Jesus.
That, they did.

Dad preached and mom prepared us to participate in worship. We learned to be in plays, in choirs and to sing as soloists and as part of a duet or ensemble.

Harmonies were taught. Rehearsals had.
But the family devotions were my favorite.
We would have church at home.

Forgive me, but I have to tell you preaching for daddy was so good. Mom would ask us questions and we would have to discuss and speak on what we thought or had learned.
Other times we were singing with mom leading and daddy playing the guitar.
They would give us each opportunities to lead and to choose the worship songs.

Then dad would speak on some Bible story.
We loved being together. Jesus was at the center of our lives.

Yes, we messed up. Yes, as youth sometimes do, we strayed. But God’s mercy reached us. Mom and dad’s prayers reached heaven and the Lord rescued us. Today, we all love Jesus.
Today, we claim his victory as our own.
Today we sing of His goodness and of the Love of God.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
2 Corinthians 5:17

Jesus came to set us free from our sin, our mess, our shortcomings and failures. He came to give us his hope, his peace and the forgiveness of our sin. Now we have confessed our sin and We have been made right with God. Now Jesus is our treasure.

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, to show that the transcendent power belongs to God and not to us.
2 Corinthians 4:7

So, ths day I want to share this great inheritance with you. Christ has come so that, you too, can be saved. He has offered himself as a sacrifice for your freedom. He desires to offer you his love and forgiveness so that, you may also have this treasure.

So we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We beseech you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.
2 Corinthians 5:20

Our main objective is to have you know the God of love. Jesus is the Lord. He can cause your loss to be your gain.
He can give you beauty for your ashes.
For your weeping he can make you dance instead.

My prayer is that you would know him.
For God so loved the world…
He loves you. We too were broken and undone but the Lord had mercy and made us a new and gave us newness of life. The past is gone and we are all bron again. Imperfect souls loved by a perfect God.

Our inheritance is great. Jesus is our Reward.
In Dedication to my parents Luchy Negron and Jose Luis Negron Sr., and my brothers Jose Luis Negron Junior, and sister Sarahi Negron Ingold, Luis Abner Negron in gratitude to the Lord for my siblings.
