This Season Reminds Me of God’s Faithfulness

The crisp air, the cool breeze… The change of seasons is clear.

This time of year!
This time of year….
Reminds me of God’s faithfulness.
Leaves falling down reminds me that my sins have fallen away and I have been made clean.
Rain falling is an indication that life is always needing God to rain down on us and shower us with His blessings.
The cold weather reminds me that all the impurities and bacteria and germs will soon die off and the air and atmosphere will be cleansed.
Then eventually…
The trees bare of leaves but covered with the crystal of snow and ice which makes them shine like glass.

Oh, I love this time of year…
Just before you know it, we will be gathered round the table with our Thanksgiving feast.
There to share with loved one and have good things to eat.
Then around the corner will be my favorite time of all, the time when the tree will be decked and carols will be sung of old.
We will celebrate the birth of our Lord and King…
Christmas will soon be here.
Hot cocoa and and pumpkin spice, apple pies so very nice.
The chill in the air and the smiles and cheer of Greeting cards arriving in the mail.
Presents nestled under the tree.
Children laughing and giggling.
The thrill of shopping for loved ones here and shedding some tears for those not near.

Oh, I love this time of year.
It reminds me of God’s mercy and grace.
As I watch the snow cover the ground.
As a blanket unfolding hiding every flaw…
Much like Christ’s blood covers sin one and all.
Oh I love, how I love this time of year.
