Did you know?
Did anyone inform you? Did you not become aware of what is going on?
Listen, let me give you some news. Let me tell you all about it.
We are hearing too many heartbreaking news of late.
We are hearing of all these deaths and all these illnesses and turmoil everywhere.
We have heard about shootings and about the calamity that has hit our entire planet.
WE WANT TO HEAR SOME GOOD NEWS FOR A CHANGE!
WE NEED SOME HOPE UP IN HERE!
Now let me tell you.
The Lord says He has loved you with an everlasting love.
Jere.iah 31:3
The Lord says,
“Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” Isaiah 1:18.
Oh, Come On! We Need these good news.
The Lord says, He will turn your weeping into dancing. I will sing and give you praise and thanks. (Psalm 30:11-12)
Hey, I have to tell you, there is still hope.
For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning.
Psalms 30:5
His desire is to give you a hope and a future. He has a plan for your life. (Jeremiah 29:11)
When we go to The Father by way of His Son Jesus Christ, the long awaited Messiah, we have access to Mercy.
We have an audience with the one who is able to restore and renew and make us anew.
In the midst of all the dark sad news there is a ray of hope. There is an opportunity for grace to come. Yes, that unmerited favor. Yes, its the mercy that comes even when we don’t deserve it. Yes, its that forgiveness that is offered when we have messed up completely. Yes, it is that love of God that goes beyond our expectations and grants us salvation.
There is a condition we must meet in order to receive this blessing.
Jesus is saying this to you and me right now…
… “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
John 14:6
The condition to receiving this great gift is coming to Jesus.
Believing He is the Only Son of God who takes away the sin of the world is essential.
He is the One Who Offers Us these Good News.
By His stripes we are healed. The Cross is the Place where He made it possible for our souls to be restored.
The stripes on His back make it possible for us to be saved.
He was the one born of a virgin. He was the Babe in the manger.
Yes, He is the one the prophet Isaiah spoke of when he wrote,
For a child will be born for us, a son will be given to us, and the government will be on his shoulders. He will be named Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.
Isaiah 9:6
Jesus is the long awaited Messiah. He is the Prince of Peace. He is that Wonderful Counselor. His advice is sure and will bring about stability of mind and soul.
But there is a way that we must come to Him. We cannot come in our own merits. We cannot come to Jesus Christ by way of our own efforts and works, or social status or wealth.
We cannot buy our way in. We can only come through Repentance.
That is, being completely convinced that God is not a man that he should lie.
Scripture tells us,
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Romans 3:23
But the Lord made himself an offering for us. He made himself lowly and humble and gave himself as a sacrifice on the Cross. For our freedom.
We must come Believing that He is the Lord, the Lamb of God that made payment for our liberty.
We must come humbly and with a heart full of conviction and tell him how sorry we are we have fallen short. How we are sinful and need his forgiveness and his cleansing.
We must confess our sins and He is faithful, merciful and just. He will forgive us and clean away our sins. He will make our souls white as snow. (1 John 1:9, Isaiah 1:18).
Psalm 6 puts it in a clear way. It shows us an example of a prayer of humility.
“Lord, do not rebuke me in your anger; do not discipline me in your wrath. Be gracious to me, Lord, for I am weak; heal me, Lord, for my bones are shaking; my whole being is shaken with terror. And you, Lord — how long? Turn, Lord! Rescue me; save me because of your faithful love. For there is no remembrance of you in death; who can thank you in Sheol?
I am weary from my groaning; with my tears I dampen my bed and drench my couch every night. My eyes are swollen from grief; they grow old because of all my enemies. Depart from me, all evildoers, for the Lord has heard the sound of my weeping. The Lord has heard my plea for help; the Lord accepts my prayer. All my enemies will be ashamed and shake with terror; they will turn back and suddenly be disgraced.
Psalms 6:1-10
Today, the enemy of our souls does not want us to hear the Good News. He wants us to remain in fear and in a state of hopelessness.
But I have Good News. Jesus came to seek and save the lost.
He came to restore you and me to a right relationship with Him.
He wants to help us see that in the midst of the chaos surrounding our world, there is a Light that overcomes darkness. There is a hope that is eternal. There is a preserving factor. Jesus is the Light of the world. He is the Messiah. He is the Answer to life’s complexities. He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him.
Come, let’s be part of what He has offered us.
Come, bring your brokenness and your sorrow. Bring your weakness and your hopelessness.
He will give you beauty for ashes.
He will enable you to become a Child of God.
His desire is to make us clean. His desire is to heal our hurts and make us partakers of his Mercy.
Isaiah 61:3 shows us this in this manner,
To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness, that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He might be glorified.”
If we come to Christ Jesus He is the Rock that is Higher than I. He is the Mighty and strong Tower.
When we cry out to him, we will be engrafteted to the Vine. He is the Vine and we will become his branches. We will be rooted in Truth and given his life as our own. His righteousness as our own. He is our Saviour. (John 15)
Grace is still accessible.
Mercy is still being offered at the foot of thw Cross.
The Tomb he had been buried in is Empty. He has risen so that you and I can be made Birn Again.
Oh, Do You Have These Good News?
Do you Know the One Who has come not to condemn the world but to save your life and mine?
Jesus, yes, Yeshua Loves You. His Blood shed on the Cross is proof. His Mercy is New Today and able to Be the News that Will transform your life.
You too can Enjoy and Rejoice in His Love.
