We need to be equipped. We need to be sharp and astute. The enemy may be like a prowler looking in. He may be seeking your weak points. He may point at your past and your failures. He looks at the track record. He learns behaviours and tendencies. He is not all knowing. He is not omniscient. He is not every where all the time. He is not omnipresent.
Don’t give him that place.
He was expulsed, expelled, put out, from heaven when he looked at himself and considered that he, a created being could sit on God’s throne.
He is only prince of this world because manknd has forfeited their rightful place as Rulers of the earth God had created them to be.
Adam and Eve were foolish and sinned They believed the enemy rather than God. (Genesis 3)
Today, many of us have forfeited our glory for a sad story. We have left the faith and wandered in unknown paths seeking some new truth.
For the time will come when people will not tolerate sound doctrine and accurate instruction [that challenges them with God’s truth]; but wanting to have their ears tickled [with something pleasing], they will accumulate for themselves [many] teachers [one after another, chosen] to satisfy their own desires and to support the errors they hold, and will turn their ears away from the truth and will wander off into myths and man-made fictions [and will accept the unacceptable].
2 Timothy 4:3-4 AMP
So, this being said, We need to wake up.
The enemy may be prince of this world.
But Jesus is Lord of all. The principalities and powers of darkness may be moving and doing evil among mankind but our the King of kings, The God of the Universe, our God Creator and God Redeemer is Present. He is the Alpha and the Omega. He is the one who has been Given the Name above all names. Jesus is Lord of All.
When we have come to Him and confessed our sins and repented form our wayward path, He will restore us to The Father. He blots out our sins. He gave Himself so we could be forgiven and set free from our past sin and from the shame that come from it. He made Himslef the ultimate Mediator between God and mankind.
Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Philippians 2:5-11 NKJV
So, then, wake up. Be not afraid. Know who you are in Christ Jesus.
Be sober-minded and alert. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8
Take Scripture for what it is. It is the Sword of the Spirit!!! It is the Word of God!
It is the Weapon with which we equip ourselves for spiritual battle.
The key is it only works when we have submitted to God. It only works when we have repented from our sins. It only can be used when we have been dressed in the righteousness of Jesus. When we have been washed in the Blood of Jesus and have had our sins forgiven, then we have access to the Arsenal of Power.
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7
Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. James 4:8
When we know whom we belong to and who is our shield and our defender, we can stand. When we have submitted to God and have kept his word and his commandments, we can stand and resist the enemy.
When we have put on the whole armor of God, then we can be able to stand against the attacks that will come. Then we can resist the devil. He will retreat.
No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the LORD. Isaiah 54:17
Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. 1 John 4:4
The earth and everything in it, the world and its inhabitants, belong to the Lord; for he laid its foundation on the seas and established it on the rivers. Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place? The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not appealed to what is false, and who has not sworn deceitfully. He will receive blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation. Such is the generation of those who inquire of him, who seek the face of the God of Jacob.Selah Lift up your heads, you gates! Rise up, ancient doors! Then the King of glory will come in. Psalms 24:1-10
Finally, be strengthened by the Lord and by his vast strength. Put on the full armor of God so that you can stand against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of this darkness, against evil, spiritual forces in the heavens. For this reason take up the full armor of God, so that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having prepared everything, to take your stand.
Ephesians 6:10-13
So, when the bad news come…
When the illness comes and makes us feel helpless….
When fear comes to try to haunt our thoughts and kick us while we may be down. When the memories of a past that has been surrendered to Christ already is being thrown back at us, we can stand. We can be firm and not falter. The Blood of Jesus has cleansed us from all unrighteousness. He has made us His sons and Daughters. He hears us because we have confessed Him as Lord.
Remember!!!
Remember we do not fight with fists or carnal weapons. We fight in prayer. We fight with the knowledge of whom we have believed in.
We present ourselves before God as blameless, not because we are perfect in ourselves but rather because we are clothes in Christ.
You cannot claim the blessings if you have no relationship with the Capitan of the Guard.
You cannot be protected unless you have this membership.
When you sign up, you relinquish ownership of your life. You turn over the rights to your very exostence to the one who is Maker of All.
Then
His strength is made perfect in our weakness. Then His Grace is sufficient and you are able to do even the impossible in Christ.
(2 Corinthians 12:8-10)
Then you can confidently look to the hills from where your help comes from. (Psalm 121:1).
Then you can believe for the outcomes that will bless your life all the while bringing God all the glory.
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28
Its not mind over matter. This is the faith we have.
So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.
Mark 11:22, 24
When you know the Master of the Universe and the Redeemer of the soul you can be at peace.
The Battle is His. He has won the victory for you and me.
This is how we fight our Battles and Win.
In order to Win the Battle Jesus Must Be Lord of Your Life. He must Be Lord of Our Lives.
When He is We have nothing to Fear!
“…Neither by power, nor by strength, but by my spirit, says the Lord of heavenly forces.” Zechariah 4:6
