God’s  Word is Still The Best Answer…

Published by Deborah Negron – Child of God

Seeking God’s will is still the best option.

Back in May 2, 2014

I was led to right this.

Obedience pays off
Luke 5

3 And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon’s, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship. 4 Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. 5 And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net. 6 And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.

Kids tend to always have a rebuttal. But… Mom! Or I already tried that. Sometimes they may even have good reason to question things. They may have seen a previous patttern and assume logically an outcome.
Peter was like this. He was a learned fisherman. He knew the process and stated, we have toiled all night…
But I love his obedience…
Eventhough he assumed an outcome he decided to just follow orders. The result was provision.
The result was an abundance. The outcome was more than his expectations. It was so much that Peter had to get others to come and help with the large catch.

Today, Lord, let me trust you. Let me just follow and obey. Let me just surrender what I think I know to what you have in store for me, for my children, for my life, for my future. For the days ahead and for the years ahead too.
Lord, let us be willing to believe in your word and simply trust and obey, that we may see an outpouring of your power and provision.

This morning looking back on my Facebook memories, I found the memory of this. It rings true still.

I only add… On May 2, 2022 –

8 years later…

The Lord does not change. JESUS STILL SAYS…

If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.  John 14:15

Still God says the same thing to us. If we obey, if we follow, if we trust and believe in Him. All things will work together for our good…. (Romans 8:28)

To say we love God is to obey and place our lives in His hands. He knows best.

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Jeremiah 29:11

The thing is that God’s word is always going to meet us at our point of need. In this life we will go through ups and downs. We will face trials and tribulations. We will have glory days and days of sorrow.  But God’s word remains True. Like a Trusted Manual. A Trusted Blueprint for Life. The Lord will order our steps according to the different stages of life.

Regardless of age, stage or position, God’s word is timeless and always Relevant.

Today I am a little wiser and a little older. I have learned that His Power can sustain us through gains and losses. In the vigor of our youth and in our declining strength.

We can continue to renew our mind. We can utilize scripture to prepare us for each of life’s new challenges. Every battle has a new strategy. God’s word equips us for each new mission.

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:2

He will give us the game book, the play by play. He will grant us the power and the wherewithal to stand in faith when we obey.

Thank You God for your Word is Timeless.

I will trust in you today. I will choose Obedience for in it I will be kept secure in you.

“Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God: “Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the country. “Blessed shall be the fruit of your body, the produce of your ground and the increase of your herds, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks. “Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl. “Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out. “The Lord will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways. “The Lord will command the blessing on you in your storehouses and in all to which you set your hand, and He will bless you in the land which the Lord your God is giving you. “The Lord will establish you as a holy people to Himself, just as He has sworn to you, if you keep the commandments of the Lord your God and walk in His ways.
Deuteronomy 28:1‭-‬9
