I Still Trust and Believe

When we think of all the things that are happening in the world
today, it is enough to
become disheartened.
To think of the Illnesses and pain people are going through makes us feel helpless and small, incapable and weak.
Yet the Bible tells me to focus on the goodness of God.This is not mind over matter. This is not
some practice or relaxation technique. It is faith in action.
Our ears may hear bad news. Our eyes may see suffering.
Our minds may become
overwhelmed by the current Calamity.
Faith does not dismiss tragedy.
Faith is the impulse to evoke within the belief that in the midst of all adversity God is still able to meet our needs.
It is the decision to trust the unseen God for the present circumstance.
The world is in turmoil
but God is still good.
Troubled times are part of our human existence. Yet in all
things, our Sovereign God and Lord, our Christ, our Heavenly
Father will see that all things work together for our good.
In spite of the present difficulties the Lord has an eternal plan that is not hindered by our current situation.
He has promised to be with us in the valley of the shadow of death. He promises to be our comfort. (Psalm 23:4)
In the midst of our most painful moments, the Lord has not relinquished his right to claim us as his possession and his elected ones. (Deuteronomy 14:2, 1 Peter 2:9).
In the midst of our solitude and our loneliness He has not left us. For he has promised to be with us until the end of our mortal lives and throughout eternity.
It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed. (Deuteronomy 31:8)

He has made a way to have us understand that He is our peace.
Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way. The Lord be with you all.
(II Thessalonians 3:16)
So, I choose this day… with the free will God has afforded me, to think on the Goodness, Mercy and Unfailing Love of God.
Jesus is my portion. He will not be absent from the day of trouble. He is present in our tribulation. He is present in our affliction. He goes with us in the vessel and He is the one who can alone, calm the storms of life. He is able to bring joy in the midst of loss. Even tears of rejoicing when it is all said and done.
For in the end we will see Him face to face.
But in this moment, humbly we stay waiting on the mercies of God. (Lamentations 3:22-23)
They are sure to come fresh every morning. He is faithful.
