I Got You,               You Got Me

We Were Not Suposed to Do it Alone.

Barbra Streisand used to sing a song back in the day,
People, People who need people are the luckiest people in the world…

…were some of the lyrics of the song.

Truth be told, its not luck, its a God given privilege and necesity to be needed and to be loved. Our Father designed us to be interdependent. There is no such thing as a person who can survive alone without other human connection.

God Created the beautiful ability human beings have to connect with others.

Just like the law of gravity that what goes up must come down. So it is with us. We need to connect, interact, feel the sense of belonging and community.

The Lord goes further in his word. He says that we are his body, members one of another.
The Bible says,
For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.
Romans 12:3‭-‬5

The Lord has put his word, his standard, his law in our hearts the moment we believed and were born again. His covenant with us is forever.

“This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them,” Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, and having a High Priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
Hebrews 10:16‭, ‬19‭-‬25

In connecting with others we fulfill God’s desire for us to need one another and to be intertwined in love.

“I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.
John 17:20‭-‬23

So hey, People who need people are blessed. So, I pray you will find yourself in the Lord’s house on the morrow in order to be connected with those of like precious faith.
Be blessed.
