We Have Assurance, We Live In Hope

God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. For to which of the angels did He ever say: “You are My Son, Today I have begotten You”? And again: “I will be to Him a Father, And He shall be to Me a Son”? But when He again brings the firstborn into the world, He says: “Let all the angels of God worship Him.” And of the angels He says: “Who makes His angels spirits And His ministers a flame of fire.” But to the Son He says: “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom. You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You With the oil of gladness more than Your companions.” And: “You, Lord, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth, And the heavens are the work of Your hands. They will perish, but You remain; And they will all grow old like a garment; Like a cloak You will fold them up, And they will be changed. But You are the same, And Your years will not fail.” But to which of the angels has He ever said: “Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool”? Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?
Hebrews 1:1-14
In the midst of what out ears hear; in the midst of what our eyes see and what mind and what we with our thoughts consider, The Lord remains.
He is from ever lasting to everlasting. When the news we hear are negative and frightening we still have hope. When the diagnosis leaves us speechless we look to the one who is greater, higher, stronger and able,
Yes, able.
He alone is able to redeem us, cleanse us, makes our crooked paths straight. He is able to set the captive free. He is able to make wise the simple. He is able to strengthen the weak and fortify the one who has of drive been depleted.
The Lord sits at the right hand of his Father.
He has his constant attention. Within earshot of his Father. He has his ear, He has the ability to grasp his hand and look in yo the Father’s eyes and say,
This one is mine Father. This one was bought with my life. This suffering one is my servant in whom I am well pleased. Com3 Father let us send the scuadrons of heaven to thwart the enemies of this saint.
Let us send supernatural strength during this great trial because my servant is pleading, praying and fasting for our intervention.
My sister, my brother… allow your mind’s eyes to see the Father getting closer to the son and in loving respinse answering the call to intervene on our behalf.
A splendid image a thought that brings hope to my heart. I know whom I have believed in and I am persuaded. He is able. He is able to keep us until the day of the Lord. He is able to hold us in the hollow of his hand.
He is able to carry us on those moments when our knees buckle under the weight of sorrow. Our Lord is able to walk with us through thw valley of rhw shadow of death. He can empower us to stand in the evil days. He can be our joy and our song.
So this morning I encourage you. Awake, awake and sing…
Sing un to the Lord a new song. Rejoice for scriptire tells us that when we hear and see and experience all thdsd negatives in life we can look up. Look up for our redemption draws nigh. The day when we will hear the trumpet of God is coming. Our days on earth are numbered. His election is secure. His people, the chosen and those washed by the Blood of the Lamb are secure. Our names are written in the Lambs’s Book of Life.
We have a defined exit and a sure eternity. No weapon formed against us will prosper.
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,
II Corinthians 10:4-5
Our future is definite.
So we have this hope. That the Lord and God we serve is able to sustain us until the day we have completed our purpose here on this earth.
Our purpose – to be the salt and the light to a world who needs this Saviour. We are to presch, teach, guide and lead. We are to provoke others to come to that place where they will see the image of Christ in us. We are to be the reflection of the Son. The image of Jesus to thise who are perishing.
As we imitate Jesus and his servanthood, we serve to reach others with the love of Christ Jesus.
For God so loved the world that he gave his only begottwn son, that whosoever believes in him will not be lost. They will not perish. They will not be condemned for eternity.
For scriture tells us, they will have eternal life.
1 John 1:9 says,
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
I John 1:9
Because fo the one who sits at the right hand of the Father, because of the Blood of Jesus and his Death and Resurrection we are set free from the wages of sin.
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 6:23
Yeshua, the very Messiah sent by the Father has executed jistice and made a way for us to be saved.
Today is the day of slavation. Today there is still hope. Today regafdless of what is happening around us we can cry out Abba Father save us.
Jesus intercedes for us. He has paid it all for us. We do not have to walk in darkness. We can be made right with the Father through Yeshua Hamashiah.
Jesus our Messiah has come.
I pray you are encouraged today.
