Come, Let Us Come Together Now

Do not forsake the assembly. Do not stop congregating….

So many of our brothers and sisters have left the church. They have forsaken the body.

Do you know that an aputation hurts the whole body. The lack of connecting to the vine is that you will become dry and lifeless.

Jesus said, ““I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.”
John 15:1‭-‬6

Do you understand his warning?

…”for without Me you can do nothing.”

Without the divine connection and the unity in the body of Christ we will be like a hot coal removed from the fire. It will quickly cool down and not be able to be useful.

We must understand that the Lord does not want us to be autonomous. He never created us to be independent.

His desire is that we connect. His purpose is to cause us to be one in the Lord.

We cannot live a Christian lofe by thinking we can go it alone.
This race is not a sprint run. The objective is not to mske it to the finish line alone. No, this race is a marathon. It is defined by a brotberhood, a collective of saints that together are members of one another and part of the Body of Christ.

For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.
Romans 12:3‭-‬5

We are to be keepers of the same. Partakers of the privilege of belonging.

The amazing truth is that there is a sense of power and strength when we connect with otjers of like precious faith. But this connection far outweighs the effects one would have at a sports game or at the symphony. This sense of belonging to something greater than oneself is absolutely a goft of God. When we come together in fellowship we enable on3 another to grow in faith. We encourage one another to press on and to stand togerher.

Jesus meets us when we come together.
Praying in the collective church is an exilerating, life changing, empowering experience that goves us the wherewithal to keep on moving towards the mark. We press on to further the Kingdom of God. We are empowered to go preach and teach and share the good news of God’s love.

and having a High Priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
Hebrews 10:21‭-‬25

See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another in the fear of God. Ephesians 5:15‭-‬21

Let’s come back to the Father’s House. He desires to have all his children present with him.

Let us come together in Spirit anf in Truth. Let not our differences divide us. Let us be one in the Lord.
