Walking with God

When Enoch had lived sixty-five years, he became the father of Methuselah. Enoch walked with God after the birth of Methuselah three hundred years, and had other sons and daughters. Thus all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty-five years. Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him. Genesis 5:21-24
So, we are always of good courage; we know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord, for we walk by faith, not by sight. We are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord. So whether we are at home or away, we make it our aim to please him. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive good or evil, according to what he has done in the body. Therefore, knowing the fear of the Lord, we persuade men; but what we are is known to God, and I hope it is known also to your conscience. 2 Corinthians 5:6-11
But if one loves God, one is known by him.
1 Corinthians 8:3
He knows me. Every flaw and imperfection is known by him. My strengths and my weaknesses he knows well.
Yet each day He has chosen to guide me through the path of righteousness.
He has seen me. In every trial and every hardship he has sustained me. My God has been my Tower of protection and my defense.
He has known me when I have been in that state of despair. He has been my hiding place from the noises around me.
He has spoken through his Word to my soul so clearly. He has said, “Be still and know that I am God.”
He has been the one who has collected my tears in his bottle. Not one has fallen. For he has been faithful even when I have stumbled in the way.
The Lord has kept me, in the evil days. In the days where I had chosen to wander off and fell to sin. He waited patiently for me to cry out and call him. Feeling as if though he was so far from me. It was then I found him stretching forth his right hand to save me.
In my darkest hour, it was Jesus who called out to me and reminded me, through His Holy Spirit, ” I will never leave you nor forsake you..”
Oh he has loved me with an everlasting love. He has rescued me from the moments when my life was about to be taken. He kept me safe in the hollow of his hand.
You oh Lord, have been my light and my salvation. You have been the rock that is higher than I. You have seen me since before I was born. Even within my mother’s womb you knitted me together. You made me and formed me with a plan and a purpose.
My life is hidden in Christ. My sins have been washed away. Yet daily I walk through the places about me. The dust and debris from the world may stain my garments. Yet daily I am found covered in your blood. You are the armour that covers me from the arrows of temptation. My faith in you is my shield. My head is covered by the helmet of salvation. So I am able to walk in peace, for your cover my feet.
Oh that others could taste and see your goodness. Oh that they would know your strength. For it is in my moments of weakness that I am strengthened the most.
Oh Lord, you have turned my weeping in to dancing. You have changed my outcomes. You have lifted my head. My cup runneth over. Goodness and mercy follow me. The days of my life are written in your book. So when I have finished my course, you will take me beyond the door of mortality and walk my in to eternity. There you will dress me with immortality. There I will struggle no longer. There the peace I have known at times will become the constant. There my eyes shall look on your beauty forever.
In your presence is where I am set free. It is in your presence that I find fullness of joy. In your presence I find rest and relief. Lord, it is in you that I live and have my being. In you I am secure.
Fear and sin cannot take root in my heart. For I have been redeemed. My days here are numbered. I will therefore live to do your will.
In my rising and in my lying down, I will tell of your mercies. They are new every morning.
I will tell others how I was lost and now am found. I will tell of how you have forgiven me of my sin. I will share the good news of how they too can be born again.
Eternity is for those who know you and have received you as Savour and Lord.
I will sing of your faithfulness and of your wonderous grace. The Manger, The Cross and The Empty Tomb is what I will expound on.
For God so love the world.
Oh, I will walk with you each day until you choose to take me home.
And there I will see the ones who have gone before me rejoicing in the one we love.
Yes, I will walk with you until my days here are done.
