Can’t Go It Alone…

We cannot be good enough…
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
Romans 3:23

We will start of trying and soon find out following the law is impossible. To be inherently inclined to sin is our Adamic nature.
Through one man sin entered the world. Adam sinned willingly. He followed the foolishness of Eve who was tricked by the serpent.
But he willingly took the forbidden to join his mate in committing disobedience.
From his seed, we all inherited this wayward nature. We have an inclination to pursue personal desires, even when these can lead us to deeper sins.
A man does not begin desiring pornography. Yet it is his curious and questioning nature that leads him to be enticed by it. Eventually committing sinful acts against his own body. Sex before marriage, sexual sins of perversion and the things that go against the established law.

The Word of God says,
“So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
Genesis 1:27‭-‬28

“Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.”
Genesis 2:24

He established the foundation clearly. Procreation is completely impossible in the natural without adhering to this law.
But the inclination of man is contrary to what the established law of God is.

Man desires an Independence that is truly an absurdity.

In scripture God tells us clearly that we are his creation. Jesus said,
“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.”
John 15:5

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
John 14:6

How can we know the truth? How can we find the answers for every aspect of life?
We can seek him. We can cry out to the one who formed us in the womb.

The same God who created Adam is the one who formed you in your mother’s womb. He knows your inclinations, your many pitfalls, your weaknesses and mine. He understands our thoughts and knows our motivation. We cannot hide anything from him. Yet he invites us.
Psalm 139 says,
For there is not a word on my tongue, But behold, O Lord, You know it altogether. For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb.
Psalms 139:4‭, ‬13

So as we desire to be right with God, we see his invitation.

“And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.”
Jeremiah 29:13

“Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
Matthew 6:25‭-‬26‭, 30-33

Let’s seek him. His law is impossible to follow on our own. He had made a Covenant with Israel. Yet it was impossible for them to follow the law.

Their sinful nature was an impediment for them. Our sinful nature is also an impediment for us.
This is exactly why Jesus came. This is why the Father sent His Son. John 3:16.
John 1 tells us He was the light that came. He is the Creator that was present in creation.

He was present when mankind was made and by him were all things made. Yet sin was the Root cause for mankind’s separation from God.

So, this merciful wonderful, Almighty, only True God prepared for mankind a way to reconcile with him.

Even before creation He knew Adam would fall. Yet his redemptive plan was put in place.
His mercy and his desire to have fellowship with us was evident in this.

For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.
Romans 5:6‭, ‬8‭-‬11

Oh how awesome. He looked beyond my faults and saw my need. He looekd past my failures and what I deemed as my successes. He looked past my foolish pride, when thinking I did not need him. He saw the tragedy of my foolish ideas, that somehow, I could live without him.

The very breath we breath is the Breath of God.
The oxygen that fills our lungs is his.
The world we live in and partake of is his creation.
How foolish is this inherent nature. I much prefer the nature of the new creation. The new birth in the Spirit gives us a new life. This new life brings an understanding that we cannot live without his intervention. We could never exist were it not for his mercy.

The prophet Jeremiah wrote, O Lord, I know the way of man is not in himself; It is not in man who walks to direct his own steps.
Jeremiah 10:23

David wrote,
He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake.
Psalms 23:3

“It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ”
Matthew 4:4

You see we were created to be dependent on the Father. We were made to be creatures who must relate with each other in order to live well. We have an interdependency with God and with those whom God has placed in our lives in him.

Oh how great and marvelous are his designs. We are not alone. This was God’s desire from the beginning.
Sin may have interrupted the process. But God made a way. We can have the power to live right. We can be empowered to have the wherewithal to keep in line with the law. No, not by our own merit. We truly fail on the daily. We sin because of this Adanic nature that lives within us. But Jesus’ came and took the punishment our sin. He went to the Cross to die so that we would die to sin and be revived in him. He rose from the Grave so that we can also live in newness of life.
We can be BORN AGAIN.

We can be made right with God. We can have the Holy Spirit living on the inside and leading us to live lives that botin God honor.

Unlike Adam who had access to God externally. We can have access to God when he indwells us. Adam could walk with him in the garden. We can have his presence throughout every day, all day and night.

Jesus said, “And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.
John 14:16‭-‬17

Oh, how awesome is this God who still shows us mercy.

He did not give up on mankind. No, he prepared a way for us to be with him before the foundation of the world.

This is grace, the Babe the manger, That man on the Cross and The Empty Tomb.

We can be Born Again, Die to Sin, and Be Empowered by the one who Rose Jesus from the Grave.

Then we too can procreate. We too can be the sheep that multiply. We can bring others in by the power of the Holy Spirit living in us.
We can be ambassadors of this gospel. This good news to all who will believe.

We can be able to do all things through Christ Jesus who lives within us by way of the Holy Spirit.

It is the interdependent community of faith that God desires to bring you in to. I pray you come to know him. God is so good. Won’t you consider his invitation to join in this Family of God?

It is the antidote to your all your lacks.
My pastor put it this way…
” Coming to the Father is the antidote to Deoression, to Loneliness, to feelings of inadequacy.”
It is the answer to every question and the gift of God for you and me.

We cannot earn our way in to this community of faith. We can only come tdd through Jesus. He is the way, the truth and the life.
