Why do we praise God? What has He done?
Who is He for Us?
1 Corinthians 10
31 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.
Isaiah 54. Elohim – Strong one
5 For thy Maker is thine husband; the Lord of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.
El Shaddai – God Almighty
1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
Yahweh Maccaddeshcem – our Sanctifier
Exodus 31
13 Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the Lord that doth sanctify you.
Genesis 22 Yahweh Gireh – Our Provider
7 And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering? 8 And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.
God did provide a lamb for Abraham. Abraham did not have to sacrifice his son Isaac.
And down through history we move and find he then provided the Ultimate Sacrifice His Only Begotten Son, Jesus, Yeshua.
He became our mighty God when he destroyed the punishment for sin. He restored us to himself thriugh Jesus. He provided a way when we were lost in our sin.
He is the one who helps us in our days of weakness He is The Strong One, the Almighty who has redeemed us from the curse of sin.
He is our Redeemer
For I know that my Redeemer lives, and at last he will stand upon the earth;
Job 19:25
Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen Hebrews 13:20-21
Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree” ) Galatians 3:13
Jesus is our Long Awaited Messiah. He has paid the ransom for our freedom. He became sin for us, that is, he your place and mine. We deserved the punishment for sin. Yet he intervened instead.
knowing that ye were redeemed, not with corruptible things, with silver or gold, from your vain manner of life handed down from your fathers; but with precious blood, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot, even the blood of Christ: who was foreknown indeed before the foundation of the world, but was manifested at the end of the times for your sake, who through him are believers in God, that raised him from the dead, and gave him glory; so that your faith and hope might be in God. Seeing ye have purified your souls in your obedience to the truth unto unfeigned love of the brethren, love one another from the heart fervently: having been begotten again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, through the word of God, which liveth and abideth.
1 Peter 1:18-23
Why do we praise Him? We praise him because he has loved us with an Everlasting Love.
He has become our defense. He is our JEHOVAH Nissi who has lifted a banner over us of Love and He has bought us with a great price. He has said we belong to Him.
We praise Him because the Word says we were created to bring him glory. He is Worthy. For he gave himself in our place.
Its is all in how you view Him.
How you see Jesus will determine your proximity to Him. How you perceive who He is will determine how much gratitude you have fr all He is for us.
He is my All in All. That is why I praise Him. He is Worthy.
He alone is the Balm of Gilead. He alone is the sacrifice for the atonement of our sin. He alone is the Way, the truth is in the life. He is the Creator of All. (John 1:1-4). He is our elder brother. He is as I saiah put it,
“… His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order it and establish it with judgment and justice From that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.”
Isaiah 9:6
He is Worthy.
Yes, He is.
