The Gifts For Health and Wellness are Clear

A time to cast away stones, And a time to gather stones; A time to embrace, And a time to refrain from embracing; A time to gain, And a time to lose; A time to keep, And a time to throw away; A time to tear, And a time to sew; A time to keep silence, And a time to speak; A time to love, And a time to hate; A time of war, And a time of peace.

What profit has the worker from that in which he labors? I have seen the God-given task with which the sons of men are to be occupied. He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end. I know that nothing is better for them than to rejoice, and to do good in their lives, and also that every man should eat and drink and enjoy the good of all his labor—it is the gift of God. I know that whatever God does, It shall be forever. Nothing can be added to it, And nothing taken from it. God does it, that men should fear before Him. That which is has already been, And what is to be has already been; And God requires an account of what is past. Moreover I saw under the sun: In the place of judgment, Wickedness was there; And in the place of righteousness, Iniquity was there.

I said in my heart, “God shall judge the righteous and the wicked, For there is a time there for every purpose and for every work.” I said in my heart, “Concerning the condition of the sons of men, God tests them, that they may see that they themselves are like animals.” For what happens to the sons of men also happens to animals; one thing befalls them: as one dies, so dies the other. Surely, they all have one breath; man has no advantage over animals, for all is vanity. All go to one place: all are from the dust, and all return to dust. Who knows the spirit of the sons of men, which goes upward, and the spirit of the animal, which goes down to the earth? So I perceived that nothing is better than that a man should rejoice in his own works, for that is his heritage. For who can bring him to see what will happen after him?
Ecclesiastes 3:5‭-‬22

The carpenter takes wood and designs his creation. He cuts the wood fashions it and is satisfied with the end result. The table, the chair, that which he carved, gives him satisfaction.

The seamstress takes the design, the template.  She chooses the cloth that will be the most adequate for what she has set out to sew. She takes pride in cutting the cloth, in fashioning the dress. She measures aligns the fabric and chooses the thread. She takes the thread and sews together the the fabric. In the end, she compares the template to her dress. The quality and painstaking skill brings her satisfaction. She is pleased for she has completed what she set out to do.

The painter, he sits and ponders. He thinks and thinks until the desire in his mind becomes what is portrayed in his painting. The colors and the hues, the mixing  and textures and the way the brush is stroked on the canvas. Oh, the delight, then frustration, the time and the waiting. This color must first dry up before the other is added. But eventually the masterpiece is created. The thoughts in the mind are now made evident on the Canvas. The painter is satisfied with the work of his hands.

We take pride in what we do. What we create and how we came about to accomplish a task. This brings a sense of completion and a satisfaction.

These are all God given Gifts. We feel, we have the sensations of completing what we labored for. This is a God given gift.
There are chemicals and physical exchanges that take place in the human body when we experience a job well done. When we engage in eating a delicious meal, or tend to those activities that are part of self care. When we do these things
Dopamine a chemical that is released in to the brain and found in our bodies which gives us that feeling of satisfaction. This sense of feeling good about ourselves. This is a gift of God.

When we experience frustration and pain we can go and take a run, a walk, conduct some strenuous exercise or do something that makes us laugh…
Perhaps a funny conversation or watching a good movie where we laugh heartily. This causes there to be a release in our bodies of Endorphins. These chemical is a natural pain reliever. It causes the focus of the brain to be taken from he painful experience or the pain in the body to fade away. For a time we feel well. We experience a sense of being full and complete. This too is a gift of God. The Bible says, “A happy heart is good medicine and a joyful mind causes healing, But a broken spirit dries up the bones.”
Proverbs 17:22

Serotonin is a gift of God. It is a natural Mood Stabilizer. It is released in the body when we take time to spend in nature. A walk in the park, a time in the Sunshine.
Spending time thinking about the good things in life and being mindful and grateful. Spending time in prayer and in God’s Word can cause our hearts to feel light and when we Meditate on these things. This can cause serotonin to be released in the body and gives us a sense of well being. This releases stress and causes our bodies to feel good.

Then there is Oxytocin. It is a hormone our body produces. When we are with people who share in a common belief, activity, purpose and this causes there to be a social interaction. This being together is when Oxytocin comes in to play.
When there is a human physical connection, a hug, a holding of hands or singing with others, It is then this hormone is released in the body.
It is associated with healing one from feeling depressed and alone. When we engage in helping others, volunteering in a shelter or food Pantry, visiting the sick or connecting with others on some common ground and purpose, this hormone can be found. This too is a God given gift. It can also be found when we walk our pet or spend time petting an animal.
Even more when one is with a spouse or when spending time  with a close friend or close family. This brings about a combination of these chemicals and endorphins and hormones that produce a sense of wellness and  wellbeing.

Did you know that there are specific reasons God inspired those who wrote scripture to write,

Let us seize and hold tightly the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is reliable and trustworthy and faithful [to His word]; and let us consider [thoughtfully] how we may encourage one another to love and to do good deeds, not forsaking our meeting together [as believers for worship and instruction], as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more [faithfully] as you see the day [of Christ’s return] approaching.
Hebrews 10:23‭-‬25

Hey, it is for spiritual gain and physical gains that God has said we should gather together.

We were designed by the Master Potter. We were sewn together in our mother’s wombs for a plan an a purpose (Psalm 139:13-18) We were born again, Made in to the image of the Son, Christ Jesus (Colossians 3:10).

Love one another.
Forgive one another.
Work together for the common good of others.
Be a light and the salt of the earth.

We have been Freed from the bondage of Depression, of Being Rejected. We have been engraved in to the Vine.

John 15 says,
““I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you…”
John 15:1‭-‬7

Oh church, if only we could grasp the Benefits given to us in a Community of Faith.
The world tries to gove us these kinds of benefits. Yet all of them are found when we come together in fellowship.

Above all this when we come in fellowship, when we listen and glean understanding from God’s Word….
When our ears hear the Word of God being preached, it helps us to be pruned. It cuts away at that which damages us. It renews our minds (Roman’s 12:2). It enables us to be cleansed from the sins that hinder us from being well. God’s Word is a two edged sword.
It is able to restore us even when we have been hurt by the things we have experienced in life.

The Apostle Paul writing to Timothy gives us this insight.
“But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them, and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
II Timothy 3:14‭-‬17.

There is Healing for our souls and for our physical bodies as well, in Fellowship.

Oh, Church!!! People of God, Let’s Come Together.

Let’s walk in those steps the Lord prepared for us to walk in. (Ephesians 2:10).

I pray this is an encouragement and a blessing to all.
