How To Start My Day 👌

So, yesterday began the series of Covid tests I will have to take to continue working and serving the beautiful people I have the privilege to serve.

Then I started thinking, what are the true things we must have tested? What are those things we truly must be sure of.
I must make sure I’m prayed up.
I must make sure my eyes are set on Him… the Author and Finisher of my faith. I must be secure in the knowledge of God’s word. It keeps me grounded. I must be familiar with His Promises….
He will never abandon me, so I can Be strong and persevere.

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Deuteronomy 31:6

I can Trust my God is able to protect me. He shields me from harm.

The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
Psalms 18:2

He hides me securely.

He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler.
Psalms 91:4

Oh, I can spend my time worrying or I can spend it praying and having hope in God.

In You, O Lord, I put my trust; Let me never be put to shame. Be my strong refuge, To which I may resort continually; You have given the commandment to save me, For You are my rock and my fortress.
Psalms 71:1‭, ‬3

I’m going to practice Positive Self Talk. It is one of the best ways to combat feelings of worry and despair. It helps quiet the uneasy heart.
Yes, David was one who spoke to himself. He knew the power of self Affirmations.

The key is not just to affirm some good thought though.

It works best when one knows the Lord. I know I am weak, but Lord, you are my strength.

I know I may fear stumbling, but Lord you put my feet on solid ground.

Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; For I shall yet praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God.
Psalms 43:5 NKJV

Knowing God’s word is an Amazing Antidote to Doubt and Fear. It enables you and me to focus on the goodness of God. His ability to be faithful, since he holds an awesome track record of being faithful in times past.

I rely not on myself. I rely on the one who can and does all things well.

Knowing his word is a Go To For Me…

Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him, On those who hope in His mercy,
Psalms 33:18

I reverence who He is in my Life. The Lord God is there present on the daily. Never far from my reach. He is my stability and my assurance that all things will work out for my good.

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
Romans 8:28

So, moving forward, I Will choose to Believe God is with me. I am not alone.

I will choose to trust in His word. Not listen to the doubts in my own mind.

I will be proactive and fill myself with the knowledge of His word, in order to be ready for the tough times that are part of our human experience.

I will join others of like precious faith and learn from them and share time with them. I will surround myself with positive and godly people who share in this great hope.

I will choose to communicate each day with the Lord. I will pray.

I will walk this walk of faith understanding that God’s word says,

being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ; And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment, that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ, being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.
Philippians 1:6‭, ‬9‭-‬11

Come we can do this. We can choose this day what we will believe. I made my choice.

Yes, there are things we all must face… things we may feel uncomfortable und uneasy doing. But we can be secure in our Faith.

Believing in God 👌
Reading His word 👌
Knowing My Go To 👌
Trusting He has Kept me👌
Affirming my faith 👌

Good Fellowship 👌
Check!!!

I can Move on For the day.
