And he said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give from the fountain of the water of life without payment. He who conquers shall have this heritage, and I will be his God and he shall be my son. But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the polluted, as for murderers, fornicators, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their lot shall be in the lake that burns with fire and sulphur, which is the second death.”
Revelation 21:6‭-‬8

Faith in God is for those who have understood their total dependence on the God who created them (Genesis 1:27).
They comprehend their great need of his forgiveness and mercy and have confessed their sins to Him (1 John 1:9) and chosen to accept his love. (John 3:16).
These are the ones who have become children of God and the Lord has given witness to their spirit that they are Gods children
(Romans 8:18).
Those who have understood that God knowing we would sin and b weak still loved us and sent his son Jesus to die for us. Romans 5:6 and 6.
Faith is for those who have become wise in acknowledging their shortcomings and inability to live righteously without God. Those who ascertain that they will lean upon their own capacity but choose to lean on and depend on the the Guidance and Wisdom of the one who will make their crooked paths straight. They have confidence in the one who will provide for them as they live in obedience to the Lord. These who understand that  the Lord will sustain them throughout their lives. (Proverbs 3:5-10).

Faith is for the ones who have come to terms with the love of God that has pursued and sought them. God’s love is so precious to them that they will even give up all things for he sake of following Christ. (Acts 7).

Oh, Faith in Christ Jesus is not for the faint of heart. Though he takes the weary and gives them strength.
Though he gives beauty for their ashes…
Faith is for those who have understood that life is worth nothing unless it is lived for the Creator. The very breath we breath belongs not to us. We have no way of manufacturing oxygen. We have no way of inventing the elements that make up water. Yet the God who created this world made water that we would receive its benefits. Or tell me if one can live without the sun. Its light akes all things in our eco system regulate. The oceans and the seas  follow his initial command. They stay in their limits unless he allows them to go past the shore. Oh the wise acknowledge The God of the Universe. They recognize that it is he who made all things.
It is this same God, this triune being who created us with a heart and a soul, a mind to reason and to accept what cannot be explained as the very mercy of God.

God desires that we would come to him. That the foolish become wise by choosing him. That the weary become satisfied by accepting his mercy and love.
This same God has made a way by which humanity can be restored. The God head Truine, that is Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit designed a plan to redeem us from our sinful nature. The nature we inherited from Adam. The fall of man (Genesis 1 – 3).
Jesus the son, was sent to reconcile us back to a relationship with the God of heaven.
God in his love for us offers us forgiveness,  mercy, and his peace. Jesus is the path. He is the only way to heaven. He is the only way to come in to the family of God.
His offer of reconciliation is not for he faint of heart.

Those who follow him oftentimes pay a price. Mathew, Mark, Luke and John tell his story.
The book of Acts tells of what happened to many of his followers. Many became martyrs for believing. Faith is not for the coward. It is for those brave enough to admit they need saving. Those courageous enough to understand that without him they would be lost.

“For God sent the Son into the world, not to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him. He who believes in him is not condemned; he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.”
John 3:17‭-‬18

A true Choice one leads to freedom from the chains of sin. One leads to Condemnation.
If anything the wise choose life eternal even if it come with times of suffering.  For why suffer here and in eternity as well.

The question is what do you believe. Where do you stand?
Whom do you say Jesus is?

Now when Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do men say that the Son of man is?” And they said, “Some say John the Baptist, others say Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” And Jesus answered him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jona! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven.
Matthew 16:13‭-‬17

Paul and Silas spoke of Jesus. They were told to stop. They were beaten and put in prison. Yet in the midst of the prison they were heard praying and singing hymns to God.
Imagine, they were brave, they did not care about what would happen to them. They had come to know the one who gave them power to stand and cry our and preach the forgiveness of sins through Jesus Christ and they had been put in jail. They had been physically hurt. This did not cause them to be frightened.  No, they sang praises to God all the more.

No this faith is not for the weary and cowrd. It is for the brave and rest assured, He who believes on the Lord will be empowered to speak, to share the good news of Jesus. That he is the one who give us rest.
He is the one who gives us peace in he midst of calamity. He turns our weeping into dancing. He turns our sorrows in to rejoicing.
His mercies are new every morning.

Oh I pray you are brave today. I pray you coe come the God who loves you. He is waiting. He is still present to save.
