To know wisdom and instruction, To perceive the words of understanding, To receive the instruction of wisdom, Justice, judgment, and equity; To give prudence to the simple, To the young man knowledge and discretion— A wise man will hear and increase learning, And a man of understanding will attain wise counsel, To understand a proverb and an enigma, The words of the wise and their riddles. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, But fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Proverbs 1:2-7 NKJV
My son, if you receive my words, And treasure my commands within you, So that you incline your ear to wisdom, And apply your heart to understanding; Yes, if you cry out for discernment, And lift up your voice for understanding, If you seek her as silver, And search for her as for hidden treasures; Then you will understand the fear of the Lord , And find the knowledge of God. For the Lord gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding; He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk uprightly; He guards the paths of justice, And preserves the way of His saints. Then you will understand righteousness and justice, Equity and every good path. When wisdom enters your heart, And knowledge is pleasant to your soul, Discretion will preserve you; Understanding will keep you, To deliver you from the way of evil, From the man who speaks perverse things, From those who leave the paths of uprightness To walk in the ways of darkness; Who rejoice in doing evil, And delight in the perversity of the wicked; Whose ways are crooked, And who are devious in their paths; To deliver you from the immoral woman, From the seductress who flatters with her words, For her house leads down to death, And her paths to the dead; So you may walk in the way of goodness, And keep to the paths of righteousness. For the upright will dwell in the land, And the blameless will remain in it; But the wicked will be cut off from the earth, And the unfaithful will be uprooted from it.

Seeking what is right and good and honest. Seeking what is true and just. Understanding the truth and aligning one’s life to it is the purpose of the wise.
The Keeper of the soul is that parent who holds that child in their arms and understsds from the onset this is a great Privilege and Lifelong Role.
I watched how dedicated and constant, I observed her commitment to love. She is now frail and elderly but still she lives for her cause.
Observed as she dedicates her life to prayer, not forgetting her self desired role, as the keeper of their souls. From the very day she held her children in her arms she made a vow. She purposed in her heart to never disengage. She decided it was going to be a life long assignment, one she was honored to hold.
Let me explain. She raised them to the best of her abilities at the time. No, she was not perfect by far. She gave them love and respect. She held them, loved them, guided them and taught them. She nursed them and clothed them and disciplined and admonished them. She taught them of honor and loyalty and of God and his grace. She demonstrated the unwavering resolve that her children were her gift, her responsibility and her treasure in all.
She treats her role as her highest honor and her grave responsibility. Every morning she rises and clings to the necessity of prayer. She names each of her children in sequence. She lifts up their lives, the lives of their spouses and children accordingly. She prays they would know the will of God for their lives. She fervently prays for their souls.
Lord, she prays, that they would know your heart, that they would seek your face and that each day they would honor you in ther every deed. Lord God, that their minds would be filled with your Word. That they may be people who embody the image of God.
She is the one who prays for me.with every shortcoming and every flaw in me, she still sees potential and destiny. With every time I have fallen and failed she sees God’s purpose and presses on. Her words empower and prove so well, she is the keeper of my soul in prayer.
She speaks so highly of her children and points out the good and that which makes her proud. She does not adhere to negative thoughts. She prays for me and for each of my siblings in the beginning of each day and at their close.
The keeper of the souls does not decide to pray for the ones who call each night. She prays for her children all the same. He speaks of all their gains. She points out their triumphs and great accomplishments. She does not dwell on their losses or misjudgments.
She knows her role. Her faith secure she stands at her post. But staying firm in her position has meant some days of dissolution. Not always have her children noted her value nor have they thought of her condition. Regardless of their proximation, whether they have been present or in a far destination, She has remained faithful.
She prays. She stays, Takes her tolls with the dangers and negative emotions. She leaves her heart in the hands of the one who sustains her as she continues to be the keeper of their souls. She prays diligently for their provision. She prays earnestly for their vision to be made clear in order that they would see you Lord as their own decision. She prays for their steps to be ordered of the Lord. She prays for their hearts to be filled with the Holy Spirit and their lives to have meaning in Christ. She prays fervently, never forgetting the treasure she holds.
For some her role has been completed. She raised her children and now they are gone. Yet to her, she stands still in her position. Come storm or wind, sun or rain…. For she stays in every season to remain in prayer for the souls of her children.
Oh God protect her. Lord please keep her safe and in health. Give her the prosperity of being always in your presence, the joy if seeing her own children fulfill their purpose in you.
Give her much joy for all her sorrows and strength for each tomorrows. Comfort her and console her heart. For she continues being the keeper of our souls. She silently holds on to her greatest role as the keeper of our souls.
Lord, I pray for my own children. Each day I remember the Treasures they are to me.
Lord let me hold it always in highest regard. For I too am a keeper of their souls. My own purpose in this life is intertwined with their very existence. My precious treasures my son and my daughters.
As I serve, in this post oh Lord, let me serve well as the keeper of their souls with the same diligence my mom has been and continues to serve with.
Who can find a virtuous woman? For her worth is far above rubies. The heart of her husband safely trusts her; So he will have no lack of gain. She does him good and not evil All the days of her life. Her children rise up and call her blessed; Her husband also, and he praises her: Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, But a woman who fears the Lord , she shall be praised. Give her of the fruit of her hands, And let her own works praise her in the gates. Proverbs 31:10-12, 28, 30-31
