We Need The Lord.

The heart of man is desperately wicked Jeremiah 17:9
Since the moment Adam and Eve failed humanity has been plagued by the repercussions of a sin nature.
The Bible says that there is none righteous, not one. Roman’s 3:10
It goes on to say that mankind sins out of their own desires and enticed by their own passions. James 1:14
So we look at those who have claimed to be conservative and Republican and we look at those who have claimed to Democrats and have infringed on the rights of others.
We see the the same thread. The same cloth that has been stained by he same stans.
The stain of Sin is on every person who has not not been cleansed under the flow.
The same evil hearts are found in all of us human beings.
There is no way to rid ourselves of the stains of Sin on our own The only way is to come to the Cross. Jesu paid the price for our cleansing.
The Bible tells us ” For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.”
There is no distinction within us.
Whether we are Black or White Asian or Latino…
Whether we are from the North where the South, The East or the West, We have all When born with a sin nature.
The Bible says, For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life.
God’s desire for humanity is that all would come to repentance. Christ Jesus shed his blood on the cross to make an atonement for our freedom.
I look at our nation and I am reminded that we are a melting pot. We have A community of immigrants from every part of the world. Together we form the United States of America. We have forgotten our roots. We have forgotten that this nation was begun under the premise That all men are created equal. We have forgotten that God is the only one who is able to give us true freedom.
Our government and its constitution, Clearly States, “We the people for the people.”
Somehow We have deviated From the desires of our Founding fathers. The he hearts of some have decided they would prefer to have power to dictate over our people and states.
Somehow our democracy has been transformed into mayhem.
How and why has this occurred?
Our declaration of independence states,
“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.–That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, –That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.”
For some their pursuit of power has overshadowed their position, their objectives and the way they govern.
Today we look at a country divided. We cannot blame one man. We cannot blame the other person. We are all responsible.
Our wayward hearts has led us to take actions into our own hands. It has led us to consider politics to be more important than woship.
We have been bombarded by political rhetoric from either side and it has become our mantra .
Es here have left God in all this? Where have we run to?
The evil has taken first chair.
Politics has become our focus and so, we face th awful truths that it cannot save.
Mankind has no power to right the wrongs. We fail. We becom arrogate and self seeking. We become savages when we do not get our ow way.
Conservatives become fools. Democrats become power hungry and forget what democracy means.
Our only hope is found in turning our hearts upwards. Our only way out of this path of wrath is to look t he Hills from where our help comes from.
We must look to the heavens. We must look to the one who is able to mend our broken hearts and heal our land.
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
2 Chronicles 7:14
Dear God of heaven…
Dear Reator of all….
Dear Redeemer and Saviour,
Dear Lord Jesus,
We cry ot to you.
We repent for the Sins of our Nation.
We repent for killing the baby in the womb.
We repent for changing our nature when we were created by you.
We repent for allowing sin to dominate our media and or society. We repent from our lack of )over forgone another. We repent for thinking we are better than one another.
We are frail and broken.
We need mending.
We repent for not seeking your direction.
We repent fo calling evil good and calling good evil.
We repent for considering churches non essential. When they are the only places can truly find hope.
We repent for the way our children have grown up with no knowledge of what faith is.
We repent for allowing humanism and the ideas of atheism to run rampant.
We have not corrected the wrongs.
We have allowed Hollywood to indoctrinate ou children.
We have allowed social mediat infiltrate our homes as a cancer that has become a god.
The Toktoks and YouTube videos are more entertaining than going out and looking up at the world you have created for us.
Our fashion speaks of poverty. We prefer wearing ripped up clothes and it is a true reflection of our inner lacks and spiritual poverty. We think the look of a beggar is fashionable and somehow good.
The rise of disorders an health defiits are rampant. Our bodies are plagued by obesity, mental illness, depression, suicidal ideation and a desire for self gratification seem to be the all important topics of interest in our colleges.
Yet the mention of Christ Jesus has become an intolerable topic. We are seen as narrow minded and old fashioned when we try t teach our children right from wrong. Our children have poor manners and have a desire to lead their own lives as if somehow they know best.
Lord we have failed on so many levels.
Help our land. Heal us from our foolishness. Restore uto yourself.
Is this too difficult for you, Lord?
Have we gone too far?
Oh God forgive us!!!!
Forgive our wayward hearts.
We Repent. We Cry out as the children of Israel in Egypt. You send them Moses
When they were taken captive. You raised up young people who did not bow down to the fake idols of their day.
Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego chose to stand and they were able to see Their Deliverance. You were present with them in the fiery furnace. You Lord, were the fourth man in the fire. Daniel 3.
You raised up Daniel. One who did not stop praying an seeking your face day in and day out. He did not bow down before the political powers. You showed your power oh God. You kept him safe in the lion’s den. Daniel 6.
Oh Lord God.
Lord of all. We need you to intervene. We need you to heal and mend. We need your cleansing. Jesus forgive us. Heal our Land…
We pray.
Please Lord, Democrats and Republicans alike…
Liberals and undecided alike… We all Love this Land. Please dear God, help us to see we are all the same. We are needy and destitute without you. We need you God
