Let Us Come And Bow Before Him

We are responsible for the climate of a nation, the mindset of the leaders we have allowed to govern over our land and for the wayward systems within our society.

Faith is above politics, it is above the laws of man. Faith is the decision we make daily to adhere to he word of God.

In our nation we have been more concerned with allowing everyone to have their way than with adhering to God’s standards.

Sadly, this sermon is in many ways truth in a society that has stopped ears and apathetic hearts.

God always allowed Israel to fall in to the hands of their enemies in order to deal with their wayward hearts. He utilized this method to chastise his children.

We who serve Jesus and have Judeo Christian principles have compromised as a nation. We have allowed Hollywood to dictate our norms. We have allowed politics to dictate our lack of morals and convictions.

Many of us say we serve God. Yet by the fruits people will know if there is the evidence found in us. We have compromised with regard to Abortion, Same Sex Marriage and in our generalized way, shown an acceptance of the evils that have now become norms within our borders.

Our children have been bombarded by speeches on tolerance that are confused and are not truly tolerance. We have allowed a subtle persecution to come in and subdue minds and hearts.

God have mercy on us. But there is still hope if, we repent as a people. There is hope if, we allow God to prune us and cause us to be purged from this malady. Lord help us.

God’s response to our waywardness is, Still, Repent.

It’s not to find new and creative and innovative ways to have ‘Chuch.’ Its not to be more creative in how we demonstrate outwardly how we love God.

The Bible tells us that the Lord will not turn someone away if they humble themselves. If we fall to our knees and pray….

We are too busy in performing. We are too busy in making sure things get done. Yet we take little time to seek his face. We worry and fret. We become frustrated and overwhelmed by our inability to come to the Lord and sit at his feet. To sit at his feet, we must bend down. We must actually stop the doing, the work, the toiling, the stressing over other things. We must bow down low before him in order to listen closely.

If we genuinely cryout out to our Abba Father.. We will be blessed.

There is that passage in Luke 10,

Now while they were on their way, it occurred that Jesus entered a certain village, and a woman named Martha received and welcomed Him into her house. And she had a sister named Mary, who seated herself at the Lord’s feet and was listening to His teaching. But Martha [overly occupied and too busy] was distracted with much serving; and she came up to Him and said, Lord, is it nothing to You that my sister has left me to serve alone? Tell her then to help me [to lend a hand and do her part along with me]! But the Lord replied to her by saying, Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things; There is need of only one or but a few things. Mary has chosen the good portion [that which is to her advantage], which shall not be taken away from her.
Luke 10:38‭-‬42 AMPC

During this time of difficulty we have been shut in. For many, work has ceased. For others, there is work but not as before.

We are not allowed certain freedoms that were common before. People are in their family nucleus for most times of the day. Families had to stop their busy schedules and regroup.

For something it has been an uncomfortable time. They have come to grips with the fact that they have burned bridges. Some have mistreated their loved ones for so long, now, they must live with the truth, they are alone.

For others it has been a time of making ammends. Restoring relationships and asking for forgiveness.

For some of us, we have faced loss of many kinds. We are feeling the pang of not being able to hear the voice of that loved one or see them anymore. They have passed from this world to eternity.

For others the close proximity has brought about despair as they realized they may have had people around them, but there were no true relationship there. Superficial relationships fall apart during trying times. Fr some, they have had to com t grips with their poor choices and ways of moving in life. There may be regret

Today, however, is a new day. The bible tells us that God’s mercies are new every morning. His faithflnessis present all through the day and into the night. TheOrdcan still heal our land. He can heal our broken relationships. He can restore our families and mend our broken hearts. We can come and sit at His feet and find Peace. We can come and sit at His feet and find rest. We can come and sit at His feet and find hope. Our Tomorrows can be different. Our yesterdays of sorrow can be forgotten and our healing can come.

We can learn to be at rest and allow Him to guide our new steps. We can begin again if we bow before Him.

We Can Begin Again

We can start fresh. We can forgive one another and waste no more time. We cannot change the past. But we can surrender our future to the Lord who is Able to heal our brokenness

Scripture reminds us God is faithful. He desires to restore us and our families.

If My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek, crave, and require of necessity My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.
2 Chronicles 7:14 AMPC

This Christmas can be a Special time unlike any other. We are secluded, in small groups. We are behind closed doors with those closest to us. Let us bow our hearts and our knees and pray. Let us take time to hold one another and tell each other we are not just present physically but emotionally.

At us be wise and say, I’m sorry. Let us ask for forgiveness from our loved ones and from the Lord.

Come now, and let us reason together, says the Lord. Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be like wool.
Isaiah 1:18

The Lord Jesus is ready and willing to come and heal…

For in Him we have all we need…

For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder, and His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father [of Eternity], Prince of Peace. [Isa. 25:1; 40:9-11; Matt. 28:18; Luke 2:11.]
Isaiah 9:6 AMPC

This child was born. He lived. He did on the cross. Yet on the third day He Arose.

He Lives so we can live aundant lives here and now and then join him in Eternity.

Come Let us sit at His Feet.

Let us Bow Before Him.

The Healing Must Start in Us.

Then He will Heal Our Land.

Let Us Reason Together Let Us Bow Down Before Him
