My Privilege and so far a right given to me in this country, to be able to sit in the pew. To be able to assemble, to gather together, to have all of the amazing benefits of joining in worship is one of our most sacred rights in the country, the United States of America.

There are specific benefits to gathering together. There are social and emotional benefits in coming together.  There are psychological and physiological benefits to being around others who are commited to the same beliefs and who share their faith.

It’s Not Some Common Event

Above these benefits there are spiritual exchanges that these close interactions provide that cannot be substituted by the myriad of choices utilized currently.  Whether through Zoom or Messenger, Skype or Face timing someone, the connection one experiences in close fellowship is unequivocally different.

The human touch, the human hands and the ability to hear the human voices speak and connect is unparalleled.

Physical contact is necessary for human development.  Attachment and bonding is essential to the growth and health of people.

Depression, anxiety, fears, assumptions and faulty thinking is easily relieved when there are genuine healthy bonds.

Dopamine is a neurotransmitter, released by the hypothalamus and is involved in helping us focus,  have a good memory, developing a drive to thrive, having muscle control and also for human reproduction. It helps people maintain alertness. It is what keeps our cognition, that is our ability to have rational thinking. It gives us that sense of well being and happiness.

Serotonin is another hormone that is found in our digestive system. It is essential for th stabilization of mood and sense of wellbeing.  Normal serotonin levels help to maintain focus and to promote feelings of competency. It helps to regulate sleep and helps maintain bowel movements and digestion. It helps with clotting and to stop bleeding. Low levels of serotonin can cas many unwanted disruptions in life.

When people assemble there is a chain reaction that causes all bodily hormones and processes to regulate and bring a state of mental and physical wellbeing.

Gathering is a physical and emotional and psychological an spiritual necessity. Humanity was designed to live within a community setting.

No social media meeting can take the place of a physcial and total connection that can only be found when on is in close proximity with other human beings.

One of the greatest gifts God has afforded mankind is the sense of belonging. The ability  connect on all levels. When a man and a woman from a bond and produce a family life perspectives change. One receives a sense of stability that cannot be reached in social isolation.

The enemy of our souls would stop at nothing to take away our connections. Our fellowship is a key factor tha enables us to maintain hope. It keeps us grounded.

1 Corinthians 12: 12 – 14, 18 – 27.          For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body— Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and all were made to drink of one Spirit. For the body does not consist of one member but of many. But as it is, God arranged the members in the body, each one of them, as he chose. If all were a single member, where would the body be? As it is, there are many parts, yet one body. The eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you,” nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.” On the contrary, the parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, and on those parts of the body that we think less honorable we bestow the greater honor, and our unpresentable parts are treated with greater modesty, which our more presentable parts do not require. But God has so composed the body, giving greater honor to the part that lacked it, that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another. If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together. Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it.

We are one in Christ Jesus. We are strengthen in unity when we gather. We are encouraged and built up. We are given a sense of hope.

Psalm 40:9 – 10 says,                                    I have told the glad news of deliverance in the great congregation; behold, I have not restrained my lips, as you know, O Lord . I have not hidden your deliverance within my heart; I have spoken of your faithfulness and your salvation; I have not concealed your steadfast love and your faithfulness from the great congregation.

Coming together allows us the opportunity to engage in corporal worship, a unified understanding and to be as it were, fed the same portion of God’s word.  Testimonies and assertions of faith are made, when we are together.

The Bible tells us the following in

The ultimate gift we have in corporal fellowship is the reality of being one with Christ in body and in the Spirit. When we come together not only are there physical, social, and psychological benefits.  When we come together there are spiritual benefits.

Mathew 18: 18-20,  tells us,                       “Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
Matthew 18:18‭-‬20

When we come together we become a spiritual force that is able to combat the enemy head on. When we come together we are in the presence of God. His power is ours. His wisdom is ours. He enables us to stand as an army in faith believing in the God of our salvation. We become a force to be reckoned with. Furthermore the enemy knows he cannot prevail against the church. We are collectively, The Bride Christ. When we come together we are spiritually charged and filled with the power of God to make war against the powers of darkness. Jesus left us a great gift in the Holy Spirit.  The Holy Spirit provides us with the needed knowledge to enable us to strategically and as One Body  push back the forces the enemy.

God’s Holy Spirit leads us in Spirit and truth enabling us to put on the armour of God. Through corporate prayer, worship and unity we are empowered.

The devil seeks to destroy our ability to focus, to be well. He desires nothing less than to shut our avenues of hope and wants to close us in so we cannot see or hear of the goodness of God. His strategy hasn’t changed. He seeks to isolate us so we become his easy prey. He wants to cause us to become fearful and feel as if we cannot win this battle. When the Body of Christ, th Chruc sits together at the Master’s table to eat God’s word, which is the preaching and teaching of God’s word, the nourishment gives us the wherewithal to continue seeking his presence. We are encouraged to believe and to continue in our faith. It is then that he knows that, “The gates of hell cannot prevail against the church of Jesus Christ.”

What we pray and bind here on earth believing God to intervene on our behalf we are assured will be bound in heaven. (Mathew 18:18 – 19).

Isaiah 54:17                                               “no weapon that is fashioned against you shall succeed, and you shall refute every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and their vindication from me, declares the Lord .”

When we gather to sing as the body of Christ we are empowered. On a physiological level our heart rates increase. Sining releases endorphins that relieves pain and causes one’s mood to improve. Sining in a group can be a stress is reliever. Ot invigorates and brings about a feelin of wellness. This is on a physiological an emotional level. On a faith and spiritual level it causes strengthening of bonds a sense of hope. Coming together is a means of keeping our entire bodies and minds and spirits healthy.

The Bible tell us, in Psalm 105:2,         Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell about all his wondrous works!

In Psalm 96:1                                             “O sing unto the LORD a new song: sing unto the LORD, all the earth.”

Current restraints impose unnecessary restrictions that can promote emotional, physical, social and spiritual detrimental outcomes.  If we consider those who suffer from depression, meeting together can help diminish these negative outcomes. If we think of the ne for a social connection and the necessity for people to connect for all these reasons we would be crying out to God for Liberty from these oppressive chains.

This land is he land of the free. We are still a Nation under God. We need to wake up church. Our Health, our Hope an our Faith is being trampled on.

Now more than ever we need to Stand up for our civil liberties.

We Stand Tallest on Our Knees!!!

if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
2 Chronicles 7:14

Lord we need the muzzles off. We need the socialization and binds that we have been stripped of. We need the freedoms this nation was founded on. Every person, black and white, asian and hispanic… natives and foreigners on this soil, need your intervention oh God.

We Have Changed. We have been Restricted. We have been tied to Fear and Chained up by governments that have no Respect for our Liberties.

We are a Free Nation of Democracy. We do no want to become a Socialist country. Lord Jesus, by your Holy Spirit intervene. Heal our Land of God.

Let us be free to sing and gather together without all thse imposed constraints. God remove fear and the depravity bin commited on your people. Only You Can.

Sitting in the pew…

I would rejoice with the saints of God.

We need to clap our hands and sing loud and with joy. I would see the faces of my brothers and sisters and be grateful. I would surrender and fall to my knees in gratitude. I would praise the God of our deliverance.

Gathering together we would heal and be mended. We would pray and worship the God of our Salvation. We will engage in battle and know we will win. In Christ we have the Victory.

Jesus is the Reason we are One in The Lord.

JESUS IS OUR FOCUS. HE IS OUR DELIVERANCE. HE IS OUR LORD AND KING!!!
