Prosperity, Fellowship and Strength, not as the world undestands them.
Prosperity
Mathew 6:19-20
“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.
What is the Prosperity that scripture speaks of?
It is not the riches of this earth and the material gains. It is prosperity not of the wealth of this earth. But rather the wealth that neither worm not moth can eat away. The wealth that no man can steal away. The prosperity of the kingdom is not the one the world speaks of. For then it would not be a gospel for the whosoever.
The wealth of heaven transcends social status, it transcends location and classes. It is a wealth that is eternal and cannot be corrupted by the ills of this life. Oh the prosperity the scriptures tell of is the Teaser of Heaven in earthen vessels.
The prosperity of heaven is Christ Jesus our Lord. He is Wisdom and Power and Authority. Not to rule over earthly things but to tear down the enemy. Put on Christ. The very armour of God Ephesians 6 speaks of. This is true prosperity.
Fellowship
What is this word? What does it means. The old English term refers to amity, meaning to be friends with. Those having camaraderie, A brotherhood, those found to be of the same mind. Those who share in belief and position.
The Lord desires to have fellowship with us. His bond with us occurs as we seek him. Romans 12 tells us, beginning in verse 2 to verse 6
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned. For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith;
This makes us all part of one another. We are not one better than the other but rather we are part of the whole. We become those that are part of the Vine, yes we are the branches. Jesus is the Vine and we are the branches.
In Christ we move as one body. We hurt together, we weep with those that weep. We rejoice with those that rejoice.
1 Peter 4:13 puts it this way,
But rejoice insofar as you share Christ’s sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed.
As we become believers we remain in fellowship with Christ Jesus and with his children church. We are one in the Lord.
Strength
To be strong means to have the capacity to bear, to sustain, to uphold and to endure. To be strong is to have the ability, the power to move on. Whether to hold the weight, bear the strain, the pull and the blows.
As believers we don’t have to rely on our own ability to be strong. We don’t need to be capable and powerful on our own accord.
If we humble ourselves he will lift us up. When we are at our weakest, His strength is made perfect in that very inability in us. He is able to order our steps and draw us from that place of uncertainty to the place of Faith. We then walk in newness of life. We then have a new outlook in life. We then experience, peace in the midst of the battles and storms in this life.
Oh the Prosperity and Fellowship and strength God calls us to is found in Jesus Christ alone.
May you be blessed with the prosperity of heaven. May you be blessed in fellowship and in unity in Christ. Lastly, may you experience His strength empowering you to live a Victorious life for God.
