I Won’t Listen to The Talk in My Head…
I Will Believe What God Has Said Instead

One of the ways we help others heal is by helping them create new narratives. Using Cognitive Behavioral Theoray we attempt to encourage and teach people how to engage in a positive self talk. This can help to a degree. But the Best help is when this idea is combined with Faith.
You see, Faith in God enables a person to have a go to guide.
God’s word is powerful in redirecting our frame of mind. God’s narrative for us is far greater than one we can conjure up.
This being said, a positive outlook helps the healing process. But a conviction in the heart from a conversion of the soul to Christ causes a person to be able to be transformed and restored. Here is a personal narrative.
God is able to make this one yours too.
I quit worrying about what the enemy
has said of me.
I quit, I quit allowing the enemy, my own thoughts, and others, to steal my peace.
I quit, I quit being a pawn and a victim.
I quit, I quit allowing others to dictate their notions of me.
I quit, I quit allowing my past to dictate my Future.
I decide, to believe what God has done for me.
I decide to choose his path for me rather than uncertainty.
I choose to live the rest of my days as a child of God.
I decided that what Jesus says of me is better than what others claim.
Jesus says, I am forgiven when I confess my sin and BELIEVE HE IS THE SON AND THAT HE DIED FOR MY FREEDOM.
The Bible tells me, that He said, b I am not alone.
Jesus said, He would NEVER LEAVE ME NOR FORSAKE ME.
The Bible says I am the apple of God’s eye. I am a treasure and a pearl. The Bible tells me I am a New Creation.
My life is made new by the sacrifice of Christ Jesus on the Cross.
I have believed on Him.
I quit, allowing society, trauma, loss, anger, bitterness, unforgiveness, hatred, fear and anxiety and such things govern my mind.
The Bible says I have the mind of Christ.
Roman’s 12:2 tells me,
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Psalm 27:1 tells me,
The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
Psalm 23 says That the Lord is my shepherd. So I know I am part of his flock. He has my back. He cares for me. It says,
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever. Psalms 23:4, 6 KJV
So, no matter what, The Lord is with me.
So, I quit believing the enemies lies that tell me I have no hope.
My hope is in the Lord.
I quit, believing I have nothing.
I have all I need in Jesus my Lord.
I am more than a Conqueror through Christ.
Christ in me gives me the hope of glory. But until then, I live with the assurance that God resides within my heart. God’s Holy Spirit empowers me to rest on Him. Knowing that He that began a good work in me will be faithful to complete it.
So then no weapon formed against me will prosper. Scripture assures me of this.
I can therefore walk in confidence.
No matter what lies ahead I will Trust in You Lord.
