I am Persuaded His Love Is For You and for Me

Persuaded by the evidence I have witnessed, I believe. Persuaded by the evidence of grace, I believe. Persuaded by how a loving God can even in mercy save the worst of sinners. 

I am persuaded that the God I serve is able to turn hearts of stone in to hearts full of compassion. I am Persuded that the love of God can reach the most angry soul and transform it.

I am completely convinced of the fact that the Lord is faithful and that his mercies are truly new when each new day arrives. 

His ways are higher than mine. 

His thoughts are higher then my own. 

His understanding is full. 

Like the eagle that can see from above the path and position he must take in order to conquer so our God sees from above, the entire panorama. 

He is not limited by a skewed view. His perception is clear.  He sees from a higher plain. When he aims at his target, his achieves his goal.

He aimed for my heart. He launched the his plan. He executed his divine intervention in my own life. I was lost. I was undone and lost in a path of self destruction. Pride had invaded my mind. The anger and bitterness in my soul ran deep.

Yet he understood my reasons. He saw the pain and the brokenness xwithin. He showed me compassion. When he set to save me, it was not in the here and now. 

Before our time and space. Before the foundations of the world he established those that would believe. He saw mankind from the beginning and before creation itself was created. Yet scripture demonstrated His Holy Spirit was at work.

He saw my Substance being formed in my mother’s womb. He saw me when I was yet an embryo. He knotted me together in secret, the Psalmost wrote. Before I could even acknowledge who He was He loved me. 

He saw the frailty of my life and still He thought it worth the while.

Two thousand years ago, or so, He sent that tripartite portion of His essence. The Second person of the Trinity. He cause the Holy Spirit to come over that virgin and He made himself flesh and bone. The God head Trinity….

That Triune God sent his son Jesus, to die for you and me.  Knowing all the wayward paths that we would take, knowing our disgrace He still came. 

Then, still in mercy, when His Holy Spirit opened my spiritual eyes, He revealed his great love for this, myself, the worst of sinners.

Oh come on. I know myself. I hated God, I blamed God for every sad event and heppening.

I blamed him for the pain I had undergone. I blamed him for my losses. I even accus ed d him for my wrong decisons. The consequences of my sin were real. Yet His love reached me. In the pit of despair when no one seemed to care. 

He enveloped me in his loving arms. 

He placed my feet on solid ground. 

Stability instead of fragility. 

Security onplace of fear. 

Joy instead of sorrow and hope for my tomorrows 

The presence of the Lord lives within me. His forgiveness has been given to me. His peace carries me through life’s ups and downs. 

His word assures me that nothing can separate me from His love. 

I the worst of sinners. I the blasphemer. The very one who cursed God. Now has been saved by His amazing grace.  Calvary is the evidence of His love fro every person.

Calvary is the place of the exchange. 

Beauty for ashes and hope for despair. 

Strength for weakness and Understanding for the humble of heart. Justice for the poor and needy. Salvation for the weary soul. 

Jesus is the one who demonstrates the greatest evidence of God’s greatest love. The Manger, The cross and the Empty Tomb are the Proof of his unmerited favor for us. 

Jeremiah 31:3

The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.

John 3:16-17

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.   For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Zechariah 2:8 

8 For thus said the Lord of hosts, after his glory sent me to the nations who plundered you, for he who touches you touches the apple of his eye:

He Loves us Still and desires that all would know Christ Jesus as their Redeeming King. 

For all these reasons I am Persuaded that His love is sure, His grace Sufficient and His Mercy Renewed on the daily. 

He is my Lord and my Savior. He is my Deliverer and my Hiding place. He is the Lifter of my head. 

No weapon can destroy what He has done in me and for me.  No one can take away what He has prepared since before time began. 

I am secure in God.
