In the midst of the tragedies and loss we have seen in so many places, we can see how so many lives have been spared.

Think for a second. God is still on the throne. He is still Sovereign. In spite of the exorbitant amount of earthquakes in Puerto Rico, there has been an amazing miracle of lives not lost.

Think for a moment. In the wake of a natural disaster, still the Lord is Lord of all.

Life is in his hands. When I look at the horrible things that have happened I can see the marvelous way God has caused many to remember that life is not about possesions, It is not about the haves and have nots. It is not about who we know or where we live.

The Evidence of God is seen clearly in every human being who learns to hang on, to hold on.
To grab each other’s hand black and white, rich or poor. It is when men and women remember that the love is their land is not about the land itself, but about the people they are connected to as part of a particular culture or place.

Today, we who have received Christ Jesus as Lord and Savior, we are a part of God’s family. Regardless of race, ethnic background and cultural differences. We are One in Christ.
Today we recognize that our patriotism is not in some earthly place but rather in the Heavenlies.

We are those that say….
What Hebrews 11:16 tells us,
But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.

Regardless of the losses we have incurred while here in this earthly plane. We know that we are headed for the place where we have learned to store our treasure.

We have been given authority now as believers to pray for others, to change atmospheres and transform destinies through our faith in Christ.

Mathew 16:19
And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

We have been given power to bind up and the declare freedom. We have been given the responsibility to set the captives free.
We have power with God. As we arr found in Christ.

Roman’s 8 assures us in the following verses, that We are never abandoned…. verses 35, 37-39.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

We are secure in Christ. We have our hope in him alone. And even if this flesh should perish, our souls are kept in Him.

Be encouraged, God is still on the throne. He is still able to hold us secure.
