Romans 8
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. 29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. 31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? 32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? 33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth. 34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. 37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. So the losses have come
The bills piled high
Illness seems to dim the eye
Trials have pressed and pulled us hard
It seems as if somehow God has shut us out.
The rush of pain, emotions, strain…
The suffering seems to be the plain
The plain and present state of mind
Where one can easily lose one’s ground.
But let my eyes be fixed on things above…
Let my mind recall…
Lord in spite of every trial
You have been there.
In every moment you have been near.
You’ve not left me in my fear.
You have been here,, right here.
The breath each morning,
The sun above…
Though it may be hidden by the clouds…
Your loving hands have held my heart
Even when my mind could not perceive it.
You have sustained me.
You have surrounded me.
You have protected me in all.
You have been faithful and even forgiven me
When my flesh has quickly doubted you were here.
Lord, in my darkest hour
In the midst of my calamity
I felt your strength made perfect in me.
When all others misunderstood and judged me,
You have known my very soul.
I have not dissappointed you.
For you have known all along my weakness.
You have not discarded me.
You have been the constant
when all else has changed.
Lord, Lord, Lover of my Soul!
I need you even now!
I seek you even now!
I long for your presence o fill every void
and my mind to understand that…
I am yours and you are mine.
I am but a vessel but you are my Potter.
I am yours to will and to do with me as you desire.
I consecrate my life, my thoughts, my heart, my fears, my doubts, my. My shortsightedness as well.
Give me eyes that look into Eternity.
Give me a mind that trusts you when my eyes cannot see. Give me strength that I mmay fulfill your call for my life and bring you glory.
Let the rest of my days matter most, in how I live for you.
Forgetting the past hurts and sorrows,
Let me see in faith and trust that all things are in your hands secure. I am yours.
Nothing and no one can pluck me out of your hands.
I am yours.
Loved, Forgiven, Restored, Remade, Revived, Reborn, I am Redeemed.
Lord Jesus, Abba Father, My Counselor, My Peace, You Are With Us Always.
