Oh Come Let Us Adore Him

The New born King…
We spend so much time telling children about so many things.
The tooth fairy, the gold at the end of the rainbow… Santa coming if they are well behaved. The Elf that will sit on the shelf…
How much time do we spend telling them of the Child born in Bethlehem. How much time do we spend reminding them of the Babe that came and was in the Manger. How much do we share the whole story of the Manger, the Cross and The Empty Tomb?
Do we go over all the traditions, the stories of Rudolph and Frosty, and Jsck Frost and The Grinch?
Yes but what of the True meaning of Christmas?
How many times did we read the story of God’s Love.
John 3:16
Mathew 1 and 2
Luke’s Account. Or what about John’s Gospel.
Did we tell them of the fact that Jesus is the Light of the World?
Did we tell them of His mercy and love?
Should we re examine our practices of the norms, the figgy pudding, the candied yams, the eggnog and the candy canes?
What of the trees and decorations… the Lights… So much to think about.
But did we share the Truth of His Story.
There is still time to sit at the feet of the Master.
Isaiah 9:6
For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Luke 2:12
And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.”
Let’s meet Him there as we bow before the King. Oh come Let us Adore Him. Emmanuel, Jesus is with us.
Merry Christmas 2019
