Taking it in stride is best. The wait before boarding was long. A woman with two children, an infant and a 5 or 6 year old appeared to be overwhelmed. She had too much baggage and seemed flustered. Along came the attendant and said, Who is with you, helping you?
A total stranger stepped up. A woman in her mid fifties. I suppose, this was an good Samaritan. Then the gentleman said, you can go in and help her? Are you together? The woman said, no, I just want to help. He let them Board the plane. The woman was so grateful.
Others stared. I observe people. I think it is a good way to get a feel for how people are. Some seemed to smile. Others seemed to frown.
The Bible tells us that in the latter days, “Because lawlessness will multiply, the love of many will grow cold.”
Matthew 24:12
Well, taking it in stride. We had to deplane the plane. I had never heard the term. We were all set to go and then we all heard, “There has been an issue and maintenance has asked us to deplane the vessel. We will let you know when we can regard the plane. Time passed. Then we were all told to go to a different gate. Apparently the issue was not resolved with the first plane we boarded.
Taking it in stride. Life does not turn out the way we think it ought to. Sometimes there are bumps in the road. People we thought were there for the long haul are no longer present. Those who were in have abandoned ship. Or we have had to step away from some who were not meant to remain in the path we were traveling on. Still we take things in stride. We know the Bible says that God has plans for us, plans to bless and not mess us up. Plans to give us a hope and a future. Yes, this is what Jeremiah 29:11 says.
When we know the one who holds the map, the traveling becomes better. No, we may not know all the details, but we know that God is the Author and Finisher of the faith. So, we can rely on the one who knows the beginning from the end.
Scripture tells us, this in Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding; in all your ways know him, and he will make your paths straight.”
The Bible tells us, this in Psalm 31:23-24, “A person’s steps are made secure by the LORD when they delight in his way. Though they trip up, they won’t be thrown down, because the LORD holds their hand.”
It is good to know that in every way I may need to go through the Lord is with me. We may have difficult paths to cross, but He is ever present. He promises never to leave us or forsake us. Jesus is our Elder brother. He has our back. We are secure and safe, knowing He is the Master of the wind. He is the Maker of Hevaen and Earth.
He is the sustainer of Life. We need not fear. So, here we go. We are about to Board the second plane. We know we are kept in the hollow of His hand. He is our Shepherd.

Psalm 23:1,”The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need.”
So when you travel through life, trust the one who is able to make all things work together for our good.
Merry Christmas.
He made a way for us to reconcile with the Father. He cleanses us from all our sin. He restores our soul and sets our feet on the solid rock, Christ Jesus.
Happy Travels. On our way!!! You too can take this Life’s Journey in Stride.
