Isaiah 54:13-17
And all thy children shall be taught of the Lord ; and great shall be the peace of thy children. In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee. Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake. Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy. No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord , and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.
In today’s society we see such unrest. So much confusion and so much turmoil. The line between identity and and oppression has been blurred. Youth today seem not sure of where of what they are. The external pressures are intense and sin is rampant.
When we consider the news and all that is happening around us, from forest fires to unexplainable outbursts of rage. The political scene and the corruption there in.
It is enough to overwhelm the calmest soul.
Yet for those who know the Book, those who have trusted in the Authir and Finisher of the faith;for those who have read the Book and understand that in the end the Lord wins. For me and those who have believed in the Lord, we know that the enemy is going to have his judgment and punishment is certain. We know the Lord will execute his plan and that the one who is called the destroyer and the thief and the one who kills, Satan, will be stopped. He is but a created being. He is but a deceiver that God will expose and throw in to the Lakebod Fire forever.
We know the end of the story. We know that the saints of God will prevail. Our generations will be delivered from the oppressor. The enemy can touch the body but never the soul.
God will always fulfill his purpose in us.
This gives me comfort. This gives me hope. This gives me rest and this sustains my mind and heart. Though the earth and heavens pass away the Wird of the Lord is secure. Though the changes of life hit home, this truth is clear. God will never leave us nor forsake us.
My children will be taught of Him. My family is kept in Christ. He is their Redeemer. He is our Strong Tower.
The news may say things that disheartened us at times, but my eyes are looking up to the Hills from where my help.comes from.
My eyes are fixed on the sky from where one day our Lord will return and as some saw Him ascend in to heaven, My Jesus will come for Jis Chosen people.
Be not afraid oh heart.Be not dismayed my soul. Regardless of what our eyes witness and what our ears might hear…
Regardless of where we may find ourselves and the distresses near.
Remember who is your God.
He is Jehovah Gireh your Provider.
He is Jehovah Shalom your Peace. He is Jehovah Rapha your healer.
He is the Alapha and the Omega. He is the Beginning and the End. He is the one who establishes our feet so we do not stumble.
He is the Lifter of our head.
Oh rest on Jesus for He is the one who has made all things well.
His is The Power, The Glory, The Honor and All Praise. He is our Saviour and the Author of Our Days.
His Promises are For Us, I will Cling To These.
Romans 8:28-29, 31-33, 35, 37-39 states,
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
In Him We Are Secure.
