I have been Justified and Sanctified by Faith in Christ But I must be found doing the will of the Father and commiting to His purpose.
16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. 17 But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid. 18 For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor. 19 For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God. 20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
43 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
47 And that servant, which knew his lord’s will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes. 48 But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.
I heard a crooked gospel.
It was all watered down.
It spoke not of holiness nor living right.
It was told to those who had itching ears.
They wanted to feel good.
It spoke of getting things yes, all prosperity.
It did not tell the hearer
to take up their cross and walk.
It told them God was good and would forgive
And left the rest obscure.
Yes, the blood of Jesus does wash us clean
But it is not a right, to sin.
We are not washed up
To then return to the way things used to be.
Bible says that he who stole, steal no more.
He who lied be a liar no more.
It talks of purity in word and deed.
It tells us to live holy.
Our daily lives should then so shine.
Our actions demonstrate the love of God
Poured into us because of Christ and Calvary.
Its not that we will act the way. we did before.
Its that we will love him so. that we will seek to do His will more and more.
When I was blind I could not see.
I walked through life in obscurity.
Now I can see and with this comes
The way they’ll know I have been saved
Is by the way I’ve changed.
The testimony of Christ in me is what
Should be seen plainly.
Forgive me Lord, for sometimes I
Have failed to be a light.
I failed to let you shine through me.
I was consumed for lack of insight.
It is my role to search the Word…
To seek to be commited
To living everyday for you
And tell others of your love
And live this life in gratitude.
For much, you have given to me.
And much is required of me.
Help me to live in such a way
That the gospel is clearly seen in me.
Help me not to falter but if I do,
Draw me to your cleasing fountain.
I did not earn this saving grace.
Nor did I even deserve it.
Yet you have loved me from the start,
Help me to live with this at heart.
That my life may bring you glory.
