Lord Fashion Me

Lord Fashion Me

He cut away the edges…
He sanded down the sides.
He shaped and made me useful.
It was His effort and His design.
He made what seemed a waste…
In to His pleasure see…
He fashioned for His glory…
He made each cut specific…
He made each shaving precise.
It was not a mistake, nor error.
It was His Work and pleasure…
He knew how much to pressure…
And where to make fine the wood.
He knew that in the end I’d be a special tool.

But now, O Lord , thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.
Isaiah 64:8

He is the Builder and the Architect.
He is the designer and the one…
Who makes an eternal building, permanent.

He built His church an edifice…
Of which He is the Corner Stone.
He forms us as living stones…
He alone sits on the throne.
He is the Lord of everything…
He is the maker of all.
He is the Potter and I am the clay…
He brings us close and says…
Come sup with me…
Come enter in…
Come talk to me… come pray.
Come sit at my feet come be content…
I am the one who forms you still.

Oh Savior, your the Carpenter…
Oh Lord the Potter you be…
You are the Stone builder and the one…
Who fashions life in me.

Oh make me for your glory.
Let me be used by you.
Allow me to bring you honor,
I am in your hands and free.
A lump ready for shaping,
Your will be done in me.
May life bring you glory…
May your Love be seen in me.
