Revelation 2:1-7 CJB

“To the angel of the Messianic Community in Ephesus, (the church in Ephesus) write: ‘Here is the message from the one who holds the seven stars in his right hand and walks among the seven gold menorah s: “I know what you have been doing, how hard you have worked, how you have persevered, and how you can’t stand wicked people; so you tested those who call themselves emissaries but aren’t — and you found them to be liars. You are persevering, and you have suffered for my sake without growing weary. But I have this against you: you have lost the love you had at first. Therefore, remember where you were before you fell, turn from this sin, and do what you used to do before. Otherwise, I will come to you and remove your menorah from its place — if you don’t turn from your sin! But you have this in your favor: you hate what the Nicolaitans do — I hate it too. Those who have ears, let them hear what the Spirit is saying to the Messianic communities. To him winning the victory I will give the right to eat from the Tree of Life which is in God’s Gan-‘Eden.”

Adonai (the Lord) directs a person’s steps, and he delights in his way.
Tehillim (Psa) 37:23 CJB

How long have you labored and continued doing what is right yet, doing it as a routine?

How long have you followed in the known religious activity yet lack in humility and a contrite spirit?

How long will you go through the motions and abhor what is wrong yet sii apathetically in supposed worship?

You sing the right songs. You say the right words. Even the speech from your lips appears to have my word. Yet the zeal of God’s Spirit has left you?

The candlestick is there, the position is there. The word is there but you lack true understanding. Its after if you have arrived. It’s as if you seem to believe that your rituals will save you.

But you lack in humbleness of heart. You despise that are not with you. You look over your shoulder at others as if the word was your exclusive property. You preach tobaselect few, when the commandment was go ye in to all the world and preach the gospel.

Oh my Beloved people, come. Let us reason together. Hold my hand and let us go back to the place where you began your journey with me.

Let us go back to the moment where you repented. Yes, where you acknowledged your wayward heart and cried bitterly in deep sorrow for your sin. Let us go back where the blood was sprinkled afresh on you. Where the stain was washed off and you were restored un to the Father.

Oh Beloved, let us come back to that place where Yeshua and you became one. Where the unity of the Spirit kept your every thought.

Let us return to the first fruits of our election. The dawn of our awakening. Let us understand that when we repent and confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us.

Eternal life is a by product.  Redemption is the path. Jesus is The Only Way.  He is that only possession, that can bring us into our eternal rest. But these are just the by products of our Salvation. The gift of eternity and the forgiveness of sins are the only things some look at.  But there is much more to being chosen by Him.

Yeshua shed his blood on Calvary so that we can have access to Him… Through Him we have a restored relationship, audience, fellowship, and intimacy with the Most High.

He surrendered himself unto death so that we could be part of the execution of His Grand Plan of the Redemption of all humanity.

Christ Jesus, yes Yeshua, the Messiah came so that the Image of God would be manifested in us; So that the perfection lost in the Garden of Eden, because of Adam and Eve’s sin, would be restored with us.

So His purpose in saving us is so that we, would become that Image of God, His Reflection so that others would come to know Him.

Oh Beleoved, remeber when you first believed. Remember when you would pray out of a desire to seek the Lord more fervently? Remember when your desire was that everyone in every place would know Jesus?

Remember that there appeared to be no hindrances when you first believed?

So now, come back to Him.

Lord, I come back to a place of being. Not desiring to do, but to simply be in your presence. I desire to embrace what you embrace and hate what you hate.

I hate Apathy, Pride, Arrogance and Lethargy. I hate my very thoughts when they remove me from your purpose. My own flesh is contrary at times to your purpose. For I sometimes forget that you saved a wretch like me.

Let my eyes see the beginning when you found me in distress. Let me recall the miry clay and the place of loss where you found me. Let me recall how the Blood poured over me and my soul was freed from the bondage of sin.

Allow me not to become complacent with serving, but cause me instead to become fervent in seeking your face. Allow your Holy Spirit to purge my heart, that I may be found in you.

Yeshua, no greater sacrifice was given. Yeshua you shed your blood for me. Yeshua, name above all names.

Let us say, “Jesus Lover of my Soul, let me never forget I am Redeemed for a Greater purpose. I am Redeemed to draw others to the Foot of the Cross. I am brought to Freedom so that I can be a Beacon of Hope for the ones still in darkness.”

Lord Forgive us for complacency.   Forgive us for Rituals and Levity. Forgive us for speaking your word without the zeal and passion. I say as the psalmist said, Renew in us a right spirit. Cast us not away from your presence of Lord.

Revive us Lord. Revive your Church. Your people, your community needs you Lord. Your Children lack, we are hungry for the fresh milk of the Word. The Boldness of your Spirit and the certainty of being your possesion. You are our portion.

You are the Bread of Life we Need.

Revive us. Return us to that place of unity and willingness of heart to seek you above all else. To desire you above everything. Where we will be found witha newness of joy and a new zeal to be effective witnesses, not just performing duties, but fulfilling your call.

Fill us afresh Holy Spirit, Ignite in us the flame. Draw into that prayer closet. Draw us to seek you again. Let not religious activity… Become a performance again… Let rather your Spirit envelop us. Renew us, Revive us Again.

You make me know the path of life; in your presence is unbounded joy, in your right hand eternal delight.
Tehillim (Psa) 16:11
