Inspired by a shoe rack…
I thought about chaos…
I though about how jumbled up our lives are when calamity hits. I thought of how we often, too soon throw in the towel. We are really folks that would rather have it easy.
Talk about one stop shopping…
We want an easy life, blessings, wealth, stability and we think some how we are entitled.
Let’s think about a God of order to makes a beautiful earth, a universe full of planets.
Let’s think of perfection at its peak. Then calamity strikes! Sin enters the world.
The beauty around mankind is hindered now by the stain of sin. But how loving our God is. How merciful is our Savior. How precious he orders things in such a way that he makes a path back to that perfect state.
He writes a story where He himself is the protaginist. The crisis, man separated from God by sin.
The solution, Mercy, love and grace step in to the picture. Yes, God in the form of man, an encarnated Christmas comes to pay the highest price. He lays down his own life for mankind.
Oh let’s see it another way. How romantic. The Groom comes and fights as a Knight in shining armour. He defeats the enemy. Death is thrown away. He is revived and lives to take for himself the damsel, the bride, The Church for Himself.
John 3:16 is the greatest Love Story ever told.
For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
Oh what a story of order of restoration. Of peace and things being put back in their proper state.
Like this shoe rack that made easy the task of keeping the shoes in a tidy manner.
Life can get messy. Things in life can bring us chaos. Won’t you let the one who can order our steps lead you to the path of peace.
Talk about stress relief. The Lord came to the weary and the down trodden. He came for the wounded and broken. He came to bring restitution, restoration and to justify his beloved.
He longs to be with you and offer his hope, his peace and his forgiveness. He longs to be one with you. He will make the crooked paths straight. He will put things in their rightful place.
