Ephesians 6
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
Romans 12
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
God has equipped us. He has given us the tools for our struggles and daily battles. We might have knowledge, but knowledge without action is futile in battle. We must use the tools given to us.
We must be familiar with our weapons. We must make our gear be such that we are easily able to move and act in battle.
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal. We do not just fight issues of this life. We are waging a way against the enemy of our souls.
We are daily distracted by life’s issues. We become weary and sometimes remove our armour to rest.
Our rest is found in Christ. But we, like a good soldier must keep the armor close, we do not sleep unawares. A good soldier is always ready, vigilant, in a moment of time an attack may come.
Our weapons:
Our helmet of salvation. Our salvation through Christ assures us that we are covered.
Sword of the Spirit which is the word of God.
As we daily are renewing of our minds through reading God’s word and meditating on it will enable us to be ready. Knowing our weapons is crucial to be victorious in battle. Being familiar with it will cause us not to be easily moved.
Having our loins covered in order that we may stand firm with the Truth is essential for us to stand in the evil day. Not falling because of lack of understanding but knowing whom we have believed in. It’s not about a r3ligion. It is about have a true relationship with Jesus Christ.
Our hearts are covered by the breastplate of righteousness, this is right living, daily walking in faith and not allowing the flesh to guide us but rather having our spirits in submission to God’s Holy Spirit. He is our Captain and chief The General of our Defense.
And our feet covered with the preparation of the gospel of peace.
The gospel of Jesus Christ is not a physical war. It is a spiritual war. We must contend with the enemy who does not want us to share the gospel of Jesus. We must do all to share the truth of God’s love and demonstrate his power by living godly lives.
Our Faith is most important. It is the shield of our armour. It is the basis for why we believe. We must be sold out on Jesus. We cannot be in church on Sunday and living as an unbeliever on Wednesday. We cannot serve two masters.
We must be commited to following Christ regardless of the things we may face.
Loss, illness, sorrow, despair, afflictions cannot take away our hope.
Jesus said, in this world you will have troubles. But troubles and hardship cannot determine our walk of faith.
In Hebrews 11 it states that faith is the Substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things yet not seen.
That is, we trust God for our outcomes.
We believe that all things, All thkngs, will work together for our ultimate good.
You may be facing a loss, a lack an illness. You may be feeling alone abandoned and maybe somehow you took of your armour. Maybe you are vulnerable to the enemy’s attacks.
Today I tell you the Lord is a Rewarder of those that diligently seek him. He will be with you in your storm. He will sustain tou I in rhe midst of life’s battles. He desires to console, deliver and uphold you.
The Armour of God is truly Jesus Christ. We must put him on. We must come to him and acknowledge our great need of him. And as we do them we mustbrepent. Turn from our sin and follow him.
Regardless of the past. His desire is to make your future secure.
My prayer is that Leiva if you dont yet, you may know Him and be made whole again. Know him as your Lord and Savior and experience what life is truly about.
