Hebrew 4
12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. 14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. 15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
You understand my plight, oh Lord.
You have allowed it.
Nothing surprized you.
You know the length of my days and of my calamity.
It is for your glory.
It is not because of sin, nor because of shame.
It is for your power to be made manifest in me.
In my weakness your strength is perfected in me.
In my sorrow I am aware of my desperate need of more of you.
My emotions may become weighed down. I may be at times overwhelmed. But my faith is not cast down.
My deliverer is found in you.
My hope is in you.
My desire is to make your name known regardless of what situation I may be going through.
For your Word is sure.
You strength is what carries me daily.
Your power sustains me.
Your joy is my strength.
The knowledge of your love for me causes me to develop a trust that is not dependent on life’s issues. I am cognizant of your presence as you hold me.
You have been touched by my infirmity.
You have been there with me even in the pit.
You have connected with my soul in its moments of unspeakable fear.
You have drawn me ever closer.
You have given me words of hope for my losses. You have given me the assurance that I am yours. You have covered me under the shadow of your wings.
You have hidden me in your pavillion.
You have caused me to be surrounded by your saints. The body of Christ has upheld me. Your hands and feet have been present to console me. They have rejoiced with me and cried with me. They have prayed on my behalf and considered me a precious part of it.
As we are yours and you are ours…
Draw us ever nearer. Cause our ways to be fashioned by your hands.
Let our thoughts be as one. Unite us that regardless of the situations of this life, we can be bold in our profession of faith, Be vigilant in our walk, Be ever praising you and worshiping you Lord with our daily lives.
We live for you. You know us. You know me. You hold us. You hold me.
