The seed has been sown, the outcome is the Lord’s
Isaiah 55
10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: 11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
My time is short.
My days limited.
Who knows if I will see what I have longed for?
But I rest on this truth, Lord, you have never failed.
Your promises are true and we have seen how you have answered prayers. We have witnessed your mighty hand of power restoring, healing, providing and renewing.
I pray for our family.
I pray for peace.
I pray for restoration
And your sovereignty to be made manifest.
I pray the word transforms, corrects, convicts and
Brings restitution.
Too long we have said we know you but live without true fellowship. Far too long we claim to know you but live and walk as if we don’t.
Too long we have made our own agenda and then complained when things went wrong.
Lord invade our thoughts.
Corral us in and cause us to be good sheep.
The kind that follow you without question.
Help us to forgive one another and win over this atttack of the enemy, we have allowed to divide us.
Prosperity is not a sign of faith.
Wealth is not proof of living for God.
Surrender, love, mercy, commonality in hearts is what defines us as believers.
The bible says we are to be of the same mind.
We are to esteem our brother higher than ourselves.
Well, Lord we fall far from this.
Forgive our profession, that comes without true conviction. Forgive our confession that is not accompanied by repentance.
Oh, God, break our pride! Destroy our self centeredness.
Draw us near to yourself and remake us.
Then we will stand together and worship in Spirit and in Truth. Then the evidence of our faith will not be spoken of by our mouths, but people will tell of the unity and the mercy, the love and the genuineness of our faith.
Let us come out of conformity and surrender our piety.
Let us become the church we are meant to be.
One body, undivided, standing united to serve the King.
Lord start with me, with my home, with my marriage, with my children. Start with my siblings, my community, my church…
Start it in me.
Cleanse us from self pursuits and earthly goals and cause us to be refelctive of the light you have given us.
Its not about talent, or ability.
Its not about position or authority. It is about being surrendered to you Lord, coming with a humble heart and acknowledging our waywardness and our complacency.
Remove the apathy, restore your kingdom in us.
That we may be whom we were called to be. That we may execute justice in love…. righteousness with wisdom and show mercy as we have been given mercy and grace.
Let your word not return void. Let it take root, let it anchor us truly. And thereby we may be true witnesses in this darkened world.
Amen..
