Let’s Look Deeper

By Deborah Negron 10/7/18

Little children (believers, dear ones), let us not love [merely in theory] with word or with tongue [giving lip service to compassion], but in action and in truth [in practice and in sincerity, because practical acts of love are more than words].
1 JOHN 3:18 AMP

When we see the the glassy eyes… When the smile seems vague… When the story they tell… seems to be to go to be true…

Prod deeper, get closer, do not simply walk away. The purpose of being a believer is clear… We are to be the light… Light pierces through the darkness… It invades all hidden things. It provokes what was unseen to be clearly manifested. What was hidden then is seen with such clarity. It brings sight unto the blind… It brings truth into obscurity. It brings about hope even in the midst of the hidden calamity. Let’s look beyond our zone of comfort… Let’s be like Jesus and go much further.

For when he saw the suffering. He went in and looked deeper. Deeper in to the suffering… of mankind’s wanderings, Deeper still in to their hopelessness… He penetrated the very atmosphere he created to rescue the crown of his creation.

He made himself weak and vulnerable, humble and meek to come and meet our needs. He even gave himself an offering and a sacrifice to ensure our Salvation. He made Himself the Payment of our Redemption. So, go ahead dig Deeper… Go ahead prod longer… Go ahead give of yourself and be wise in knowing that as we do this we are becoming more like our Savior… So, Pray longer, Fast and persevere… Let’s be his hands and his feet. Let’s love profoundly that we may be the salt that heals and purifies. Listen more and be that friend… That sticks closer than a brother.

Let’s be the Church, the Light, the Salt. Let’s represent who we are in Jesus.
