Today is A New Day

Isaiah 43:18-19

“Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.

He ain’t done with me yet… The Word says, all things are made new…

So, why ponder on what was, Or ponder on what has been…

Why waste my energies on what could have been that never was?

If I got this right, I can stand firm. I can stand on God’s Word. Last time I checked it says,

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation.
2 Corinthians 5:17‭-‬19

This means I have been given a clean slate. A clear, Start Over. It’s as if God hit the Reset Button…Yes my life is new again.

So, gotta follow what this Good Book says, Gotta believe, my God is able to release from me all past anxiety. He is able to turn my weeping in to dancing… He told me I don’t have to go it alone. No, I am not abandoned. I am not forsaken.

Whoo hoo…

I can shout and sing, I canTrust and Believe…

He who started this in me…

He who called me his own…

He who set me free from my past. and from my sin is able to cause all things to work in my favor.

No, this ain’t no mind over matter.

This is walking and trusting following His footsteps. Not wavering here or there or anywhere.

Not lolly gagging on some half truth.

But truly Believing in the One who set the earth in motion. The One who spoke and it was done. The Creator who made everything. This same One is the one who died for me. He rose again and gave me life. He forgave my past wanderings. He restored my soul. He made me whole.

Now Life’s the ticket, my faith the journey, and one day I will reach my eternal destination in glory.

Oh yeah, Today is a new day. His mercies are new every morning.

So, I am gonna walk with a spring in my step and some joy in my heart. Because this gal knows who is on the throne.

King Jesus reigns, He is in control.

And I, in Him and made Whole.
