I Can Choose…

…….

I read this this morning and thought of How the Bible tells us to think on these things, it’s more than positivity. In the Faith Option it is being Spiritually Proactive…

Philippians 4:8-9
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

Choosing to be optimistic is a powerful thing. It is not denying your reality. It is more like, counting your blessings. It is deciding how you will react when the other shoe drops, when calamity comes, when illness hits, when life issues come up.
The Faith Option offers a decisive resolution.
As those who lay out protocols in the event of a fire.
This idea of preparing is a position of choosing to stand. In this case perhaps, choosing to kneel, to surrender, to give it over to the God that can handle all issues of life.
A faith option enables to have a hiding place in case of despair.
A refuge in case of a flood of sad news…
A Go to Person when in Crisis.
Christ offers you a way of escape from the temptation to despair, to hopelessness.

Some call this a crutch, an opiate of relief.
For us Christ is the answer to all of life’s struggles.
He is a friend, a brother, a father, a comforter, and counselor, a deliverer and the God of Creation.
This is the faith option.
We can choose to think on the One who can right sll the wrongs in our lives and heal the wounded soul. He can sustain us in the evil day, in the day of trouble He can shield us and keep our minds in His peace in the midst of Life’s Storms.
